I have one dd. From the first week or two, I remember feeling nauseous - especially if I drank green tea. I was never sick, but most days would run to loo feeling like I was going to be, and spent much of first trimester feeling v faint (turned out was anaemic). I tested positive several days before AF due.

DTD unprotected (just starting ttc) a couple of days ago. Last night, I felt a stabbing pain in my stomach (implantation?), but nowhere near as bad as the afternoon of cramping w DD. Today I felt dizzy on the stairs, ran to be sick, nothing happened. Made green tea to feel better, and couldn't swallow it...

I know I could be, and also that I could just be reading too much into things, but thought posting here would get it out of my system! Am excited and terrified.

We know from the wonders of ivf that once the sperm and egg meet, it takes about four days for the gamete to divide enough to each the stage of hatching fom the shell that contains it (and then, from there, to implant). So, most 'experts' would say it's not possible to implant before then... but who is to say that the 'ideal' environment of the fallopian tube vs a petri dish doesn't mean that the process can be slightly quicker naturally? That said, accepted wisdom says most implantation happens about 6-10 days past ovulation.

So, if you only dtd a couple of days ago, it's probably unlikely to be implantation, but, hey, our bodies are amazing and there are always examples of 'outside the norm' (even miracle/not possible, like).

It's also known that the blastocyst (a more mature gamete!) gives off a form of hcg before implantation (can't quite remember from my reading, it may be HCG-a) and it wouldn't be surprising that some women who are very sensitive to changes in their body might feel the effects of that.

Of course, we've got no way of knowing for sure until you can pee on a stick for an answer! I've had positives as early as 10 days past ovulation so you only have a week or so driving yourself batty thinking about it (or trying not to!) until you could possibly start testing (but most people would advise you to hold off until af is due/late).

GOod luck!

hi Catherine! This may sound crazy but I could've swore I knew I was pregnant a few days after unprotected sex/when I was ovulating! I just knew something was going on, stabbing pains in my lower left side, and just feeling 'different,'! The wait to POAS is torture, especially when you know your pregnant and keep getting neg results!

I have my fingers crossed for u! Do let us know how you get on! Got my BFP 10 after ovulation.

Take care

I've been pg 4 times in total. Every time I've felt implantation on around day 7. Not in a hippy, woo way. In a physical way. Sharp, low down cramp and a lurch like sea sickness. Lasts a couple of hours. About 3 days later the nausea starts (assume it's the hormones at that point).

I also had a copper coil at one point and could feel the damn thing ALL THE TIME and I can feel the egg being released during ovulation. I think I'm just sensitive to any kind of change happening down there.

It's called HAVING SEX. You are allowed to say it.

Thanks all, will let you know...
Know what you mean about implantation pain - far from hippy woo, more like 'shit, I've got appendicitis'!
