I did another Clearblue digital this morning and took a picture of it for posterity!

Showed OH and he thinks I have gone quite mad and turned into some crazy pregnant lady! He may well be right! But I was just wondering, in the interests of determining exactly how unhinged I am, whether any of y'all have ever done that too?

I took one to email to DH who was in the US when I found out. I only ever did the one test. It was rather resoundingly positive.

SjuperWolef · 09/11/2011 21:56

i didnt with mini but i got the test at the nurse and got to take it home, it doesnt smell of wee 7 yrs later.

i did with boyos test as it was a home one and stinks of fmu Blush im going to put it in a freezer bag at some point ive been saying that for months and boyo is now one week old

massive congrats by the way :)

skandi1 · 09/11/2011 21:59

I kept the first response sticks for both dcs.

MrBloomsNursery · 09/11/2011 22:00

I kept the pregnancy test I took for my DD and for this baby. They are both those dipstick ones, and keep well. My DD's one is from 4 years ago, and it still shows both lines.

SingingSands · 09/11/2011 22:01

No, I didn't. But it was in the days before camera phones, otherwise I probably would have done!

I still have both kids identity bracelets. Every so often I pick them up and marvel at how tiny they are! Smile DD's has my maiden name on it as she was born before DH and I married, it's a little piece of history in more ways than one Smile

MrsRhettButler · 09/11/2011 23:47

I wish I'd taken a photo now :(

I have the identity bracelets from both though.

I have dd1's first two teeth, I was planning to keep them all but the third fell out recently at her godmothers house whilst she was staying the night so her GM had to be the tooth fairy and she didn't keep the tooth to give me! Shock Angry Sad (there's an AIBU thread there I think)

AIBU? My dd's godmother threw away her tooth!

In all honesty I think she saved me from ending up with 30 teeth rattling around in a box somewhere....

The rest of you are mad! Especially you SacreLao Wink

fraktious · 10/11/2011 08:54

Yep Blush

But I think we've lost his little hospital bracelet :(

I have his first outfit though.

glitternanny · 10/11/2011 09:01

I took a picture - that's what I text to my sisters and my brother to tell them our news!

notcitrus · 10/11/2011 10:35

I've still got the stick from ds (over 4 years ago now) and the two paper tests I did for dc2 (about 6 months ago).
And I've got ds's bracelet and the cannibalised tights used to cover his cannula in hospital.
I did however throw out the umbilical cord stump when he was about a year old!

My dad has all my teeth in a little jar - including my wisdoms which were removed when I was nearly 30, one is in two pieces and another is in 20!

nickelbabe · 10/11/2011 11:24

I did, yeah!
I was on a TTC thread, and I told them that I would post a picture of my BFP on my facebook profile when it happened.
It did, and I did (but only for about half an hour!)

I also took it because the photo will show the same result the next day, and the day after, whereas the piss-stick will only show the correct result for about half an hour.

nickelbabe · 10/11/2011 11:24

oh, and in the early days when there were few physical signs, it was useful to look at it so that I could believe it was true! Grin

nickelbabe · 10/11/2011 11:27

talk of ID bracelets.
I might have to get my midwife to bring one to the house, just so I don't miss out on that part.

SoupDragon · 10/11/2011 11:30

I have to say that my response to the thread title was "No, that would be fucking weird."

A photo of a pissy stick? Um... No!

SoupDragon · 10/11/2011 11:31

Did you all keep the first meconium filled nappy too?

Nettee · 10/11/2011 11:34

no but I too I have kept the sticks - oldest of which are 7 years old now - no mould but a bit yellowed with time I am afraid to say.

nickelbabe · 10/11/2011 11:36

Soupy - stop being such a killjoy! Grin

Crosshair · 10/11/2011 12:24

Did you all keep the first meconium filled nappy too?

Good idea!

SacreLao · 10/11/2011 12:25

I've kept my daughter's first nappy Blush

It is a cloth one however so has been washed before storage!

SoupDragon · 10/11/2011 17:05

Oh, don't get me wrong, I do have a box of memories. First sleep suits, first little hat, newborn sized nappy (unused and, I must confess, just the one to represent all three children :o) Pissy stick though? No.

kiki22 · 10/11/2011 17:48

I've just come back down stairs from taking this pic of my pee stick so i've got it when the line fades! thanks for the great idea :)

I've been taking monthly pics of my bump since 4 months going so have 3 just now it's great so look back and see the difference once baby is here i'm printing the pics for his keepsake box.

Minus273 · 10/11/2011 17:56

DH works away I so I sent him text with a picture.

louisdog · 10/11/2011 18:10

Ooh blimey yes kiki22 that reminds me, I must start taking bump photos too :) Knowing me I will forget and only start at about 6 months.

I do wish the Clearblue digital tests would keep their result though.

Ooh maybe I can replace the battery! Grin OK now I think I have crossed a line!

joosiewoosie · 10/11/2011 18:27

I did! My first one was sooo feint, but I took a pic regardless. I couldn't wait to do the 2nd test, just 3 hrs later, still feint, but sent a piccie to dh on email so he could see what I could see.
After two feint BFPs, I went to get a digital one, and did it the next day, cos I wanted to actually see the word 'pregnant' without any doubt.
The digital one is the one we took the most pics of, and which we gave in a frame to my sisters to tell them our news!
I like the idea of a special box...must have a little browse!

kiki22 · 10/11/2011 19:00

it's lovely to look back at the bump pics already can imagin in a few years will be even nicer :)

joosie i got a box from next have got his scan pics everything is going straight in there so it doesnt get the chance to go missing

no1childminder · 10/11/2011 19:08
