If you go for robyn and your dd is holly, sounds like a very festive family

eidsvold · 02/01/2006 09:37

grace - love - dd1's middle name...also dd1's great grandmother's name...

megan is a favourite here too - was shortlisted for dd2's name.

not keen on the other three - but that is my personal taste....

Glitterygook · 02/01/2006 09:38

Don't like Robyn, Christy or Maddison (all very American I think)

Megan and Grace are nice but both very popular if that bothers you.

welshboris · 02/01/2006 09:39

My DD is Madison, so thats a yes. I also like Megan and Grace

Glitterygook · 02/01/2006 09:39

Me too pph re Grace - the ones I know are anything but graceful! Both are quite 'chunky' and tomboyish!!

Auntybrandybutter · 02/01/2006 09:44

like them all!!
Depends on surname though
Maddison Addison
Robyn Robinson
not good!!

daisiesinaline · 02/01/2006 09:56

DD2 was nearly a Megan and DS3 would have been a Grace if he was a girl.

munz · 02/01/2006 10:12

out of those i'd pick maddison althou I do like Gracie. (but then again nan has a nasty friend called that, and my cousin's a megan (megs) so that one would be def out for us)

Auntybrandybutter · 02/01/2006 13:56

Also look at whats popular now..do you want your child to share her name with another 7 in the classroom?

Marne · 07/01/2006 20:47

Morgan
Abigail
Kaylee
Cacey
Katie

Grace and Robyn from your first lot, not keen on any of this lot, though love Kate as opposed to Katie.

waterfalls · 07/01/2006 21:08

Like Morgan & Abigail and Katie to some degree but prefer to have the "long" version as the name iyswim.

Milge · 07/01/2006 22:13

Only like Abigail from your second list. Katie is ok. Morgan is a boys name in my part of the world. Don't like the others on your second list.
On your first list, only like Megan and Grace, Robyn is ok, don't like the rest, sorry. Its so difficult. My dd's name was derided on another thread, so we are all different!

jenkel · 07/01/2006 22:23

Love Megan
followed by Grace

not keen on the others

Amyjade · 07/01/2006 23:02

I like Grace and Maddison the best

My Dd's
Freya Rose
Libby Hope

tweeni · 08/01/2006 02:33

i like megan im considering it for my baby if its a dd

pol25 · 09/01/2006 13:45

I love Grace.

Lucycat · 09/01/2006 13:50

Grace is ok, I just seem to know loads of 2 year olds called Grace at the moment, funny that as I've got a Jessica, the supposedly most popular name last year and we don't know any others!

Fimbo · 09/01/2006 13:55

Megan is a very very popular name where I am. I know someone that worked with a girl called Marlowe which I thought was quite unusual.

jersey · 09/01/2006 13:57

We have Grace / Gracie as our girls name if this one is a girl!

Also like Megan.

Lio · 09/01/2006 13:58

Hi Marne, I only like Abigail but perhaps the point is that we all like different things? Once you've met someone, it doesn't take long to overcome name prejudices ? I don't like the name Keith, but I know two lovely Keiths. Likewise I'm sure I'll meet some lovely Maddisons and Caceys.

mummytosteven · 09/01/2006 14:07

Of your first batch, I like Megan, Grace and Christy. I actually like Christy best - it's a little rarer than the others.

Of the second batch, I like Katie and Abigail.

eidsvold · 10/01/2006 03:24

like abigail and katie - sorry but Kayleigh very popular in an area of essex where I taught - so conjures up all sorts of images... some pleasant - some not so pleasant.
