Pregnant cousin in US

My cousin is due a week after me and is coming back to the UK for a visit in December. I want to get her a few bits for her and/or the baby but i'm not sure what, preferably i'd like stuff that isn't necessarily available in the US.

I know this is similar to the pregnancy treats thread but I noticed a lot of people suggested bath/shower products or massage oil which i'm not sure she'll be allowed to take back on the plane.

Can anyone suggest anything?

She can take liquids in her hold luggage. The liquid limitations only apply to handbaggage. Coming from the US I am assuming she will have hold luggage.

Keep it light- I had to leave behind many gifts people bought like books as they were too heavy.
You don't see muslins here but I think that is because everyone has special little puritan style breast covers/collars!
Maybe a British brand like a toy that is lightweight.Massage oil is too heavy- remember lots of people may be getting her gifts and she will have a luggage allowance.Maybe a light weight mobile from an art gallery?

Maybe something from Cath Kidston? I know I had friends out from Australia who were very keen on buying bits from here as it was seen as quite English. I got a great changing bag!

Ah thank you for that - the last time I flew was 2.5 years ago so not sure what the regulations are now! The only thing I know I definately want to put in is a big bar of cadbury's chocolate because she really misses British sweets, I think her mum sends her a care package every now and then.

Like the idea of Cath Kidston and I do actually have a changing bag that I never used that I could pass onto her maybe...on a bit of a budget y'see.

I'm moving to the US in Dec and expecting my first baby in April so reading this thread with interest. DH has told me off for buying two soft toys already as we have to fit them in our cases but I'm thinking a pack of muslins will be necessary too now! I'll sneak them in... he'll never know.

Vintage Nancy: don't bother packing the muslin squares as you get more variety here- Carter's here do beautiful ones and you also get lovely bibs for discreet bfeeding!

I don't know about the US but I had my first DS in Canada and one of the best brands we have here in the UK that was not available in Canada (and I assume the US too) is Tommee Tippee. All of their stuff that I bought herein the UK I LOVED and worked brilliantly - especially things like first feeding cups, spoons etc - I used to stock up whenever I came back for a visit. It's a more practical gift than a treat and maybe it's more of a treat/special gift you are looking for now but do bear it in mind for when your cousin's baby comes! I would also second the fact that muslins aren't available over there and I think are just about the number one essential bit of baby kit! They have "burp cloths" which are for the same purpose but are usually not as absorbent, too small and WAY more expensive. Again, not a glam gift but a super useful one.

Cath kidson bag sounds like a great gift especially if you can recycle one you had gifted to you that you did not need.Come to think of it that is something I get a lot of remarks on here so maybe you can't get them easily. My mum sent one.
I have yet to see muslins- carters do little cotton squares which I did not find that useful but in fact the muslins people kindly posted did not get that much use.
Baby clothes are super reasonable here so not needed. The bag sounds lovely- I always appreciate people passing things on as a gift whether it was given to them or not is irrelevant- they are super expensive to buy too.
I also get lots of comments on my Boots mini food containers strangely which have been a very useful gift.I also got some m and s mini books which my son loved but they were super heavy to bring back.No m and s here.
