Hiya - sorry if this isn't the right forum, thought there was a 'product review' topic but seems not!

I am looking for a good pregnancy pillow, ideally filled with down rather than man made fibre, that's going to be supportive help me sleep as things start to get more uncomfortable.

I'd love to hear your recommendations on the best (as well as any cheap deals you've found).

I've looked at the Dreamgeni but I can't really work out how it works when you want to turn over on your right side (hoping those who've got it will get what I mean...)

Thanks

i know you said down filled but had one filled with beans/beads like in a beanbag, it was a huge V shape but because of the beads it moulded perfectly to any position and was the comfiest thing i've ever owned! i also used it as a back rest when sitting up in bed feeding baby.
and i know you said cheap deals but mine was £40 from john lewis but well worth it, i sold it for a good price at an nct sale a couple of years later.

this is the one i have (in mint green)

i found it great and i really needed something like this as i'm used to sleeping on my front so i sort of snuggle into it and it helps a lot

I have this one and can't recommend it enough: www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplay0_10751_-1_84322_10001

I looked at special pregnancy ones but they seemed really overpriced. Got a v-shaped one from Dunelm for about £12 and it's done the job for me!! Just pop one end between knees and then could hug the other end to support bump. Was pretty straightforward to move with during the night.

I gave my sister a dreamgenii and she loved it

I bought this www.amazon.co.uk/Homescapes-Bolster-Pregnancy-Maternity-Feathers/dp/B004745BWM/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1319921415&sr=8-6. I bought it because I wanted a feather/down pillow and it's great. The quilted cover comes off, which I took off the first night as it made me too hot but I also bought the 100% cotton covers with it and they're great.
I firstly used it to lie against my back and I also used another feather pillow inbetween my legs and now I've moved it so I hug it and it lies between my thighs, with the normal feather pillow further down. I also have feather pillows under my head and cushioning my shoulders.

I've got a dreamgenii and it's easy to turn over onto your right side. it takes a bit of getting used to but I fall asleep straight away using it.

The long bit fits between your knees/legs when resting on your left. When you want to turn over, lift your right leg (on the top of the long bit) slightly, turn over and prop the long bit between your knees/legs from behind with your left leg on the top. The 'back support' now becomes the bump support. As long as you tilt the back support on an angle when getting into bed, it will support your lower back AND your bump when you turn over. I actually find it's quite comfortable sleeping on my right side.

I will say though, I have often woken on my back with the long bit still between my legs!

I have this Klappar Haj shark from Ikea which is brilliant - the tapered shape means there is always a suitable section to rest your bump on, and the tail or head (depending on stage of pregnancy) give support between your knees. Plus he's so much cuter than a boring old pregnancy pillow!!! Grin

The Ikea website isn't working very well, but it's the £14.99 shark on the right next to the elephants!

I would recommend the Dream Genii, but I have to say - sometimes it does feel a bit like you're wrestling with an octopus when you try to turn over. I obviously have to master the technique...
