9 weeks pregnant and the mmr

Hi,
Can anyone help?
I'm nine weeks pregnant and NOT immune against rubella. I am a childminder and one of my mindees had her mmr yesterday, and im not sure if i am allowed care for her.
I rang the community midwife who said she wasn't sure, but if it was a live vaccine she didnt think so, and suggested I rang my GP. I rang my GP and the receptionist didnt seem to think so, but then she asked the doctor who said yes I can be near her. I then rang NHS helpline who have said that it is not contagious and I can be near her. But looking on the internet, it is a LIVE vaccine, and I should NOT be in contact with recently immunised children, which makes sense.

Im very confused and if there is any doubt I will send the child home. Has anyone else been in a similar situation or can anyone give me any advice?

Thanks.

If I was you I'd send the child home. I'm not immune to rubella either and have read up quite a lot on it.

It is not worth the risk in my opinion. I have to have (and you will too) the MMR after giving birth - they give it to you JUST before you leave the hospital precisely because it is a live vaccine.

I hope that helps, and take care.
