I don't get upset easily these days - but at the moment I feel like crying quite a bit! I'm 36 weeks. Anyone know if this is normal?

It's normal. It happened last time with me and is this time too. Last time it was mostly at work and I actually burst into tears, it happened a few times. I got so embarassed!
It's only happened twice so far (me actually crying) this time but I still have just over 13 weeks to go!

It sucks! I really don't like feeling on the brink of tears when usually I'm a bit less sentimental about things. If I hear any parenting horror stories they really play on my mind at the moment.

Yep. I'm only at 18 weeks but I cry really easily (I don't usually). Yesterday DH suggested a dress I had put on was no longer 'his favourite' (I'm pretty much out of my normal clothes now so nothing really fits) and I actually bawled, really sobbed with snot and tears and couldn't stop. He was mortified, bless him, pretty sure nothing like that will be said again for the next few months Wink

Later that same day a beggar came up to the car window at the lights and held up a sign and I cried my eyes out at that too - DH wouldn't let me give him anything which just made it worse - poor DH can't win.

Once something starts me off I find it very hard to stop and every little thing risks setting me off again...

OMG, yes..I'm 37w tmrw and have got so emotional recently! Silly thing is, I know I'm being over sensitive sometimes but can't help it - last week I cried after my baby shower, someone decided to take some of t left over food home, in MY tupperware! I mean, come on - in my head I was saying 'get a grip' but I couldn't help crying and making a big drama about it to my totally bewildered hubby (who in desperation said he would go and buy me a new set of Tupperware in t morning! Poor guy)

Anyway ur not alone - I'm a emotional pin-ball right now...!

Normal! It will get worse as you get closer to 40 weeks, too! Just go with it and accept you're going to be a wreck. It will all return to normal once you have had your baby!

Bumpsadaisie · 17/10/2011 13:34

PS I just cried on DH's shoulder because the carpet had a few bits of fluff on and how could I possibly bring a baby into a house in this condition ...

40 weeks tomorrow, DH (having seen this all before with DD) just patted my head and told me to sit down for a bit. Grin

I've spent the morning in tears, after calling in sick cos I felt dizzy this morning. Nothing actually triggered either the dizziness or the tears, just hormones I guess. Hopefully tomorrow will be better [hwink]

DawnOfTheDeementedDead · 17/10/2011 13:46

Oh yes. I'm 21 weeks and i find myself crying regularly.

Last time was a few days ago. It was 5.30am and i asked manshape what attracted him to me when we were together first 17 years ago. He said he couldn't remember. I was heartbroken, devestated Blush

He has since told me and shown me.... Wink

I posted about this a week or so ago! I keep bursting into tears at work, which is really embarrassing!

Even my doctor tells me it's completely normal - and she has 3 kids of her own so she should know. :-)

Hotpotpie · 17/10/2011 14:25
