I'm really starting to wonder!? So far Ive had weeks of no symptoms, then from 10 weeks to now (im just about 12w) Ive has spotting and loads of stomach pains, its leaving me at really low ebb and the hormonal moods are turning me in to some paranoid wingeing wreck

Tell me I'll get to a point where I'll actually enjoy even just a bit of being pregnant? and while your at it if anyone can tell me the pains are a normal feature that would be good too, I almost feel pre-menstrual with the odd stab thrown in Hmm

Lmao its nice to know that there are plenty of sufferers out there, I feels so guilty about feeling like this, and I am excited but its always dampened with something at the moment, for example the bleeding stopped last week and I felt amazing for two days, hada nice little chat with the non-bump about how I hoped things were looking up, an hour later pain and bleeding, I have a cruel baby!

I am really looking forward to the kicking starting though that bits whats keeping me going at the moment, it seemed mad to see it wriggling away like crazy on the last scan but not be able to feel a thing I cant wait for that to change (and then I can start moaning about kicking keeping me awake all night....)

Im normally such a positive person I dislike this grumpy hormonal creature I seem to have become nice to know I seem to be here to stay Blush

I loved between 16 and 24 weeks. Felt healthier than I ever had pre-preg, no symptoms, things such as the anomoly scan to look towards and the being "allowed" to buy stuff after the 20 week scan (DHs rule).

Once I hit 24 weeks, I realised how long was still to go, with nothing to put on my calander apart from the due date. Cue 6 weeks of being bored and it dragging.

Now, at 30 weeks, my excitement is back in bucketloads, which is helping make up for the backache and extreme tiredenss that being heavily pregnant brings. I still feel lucky in that I have yet to experience constant getting up in the night to pee, restless legs and other things I was expecting by now. I reckon once I get to aout 34 weeks, these will hit me like a tonn of bricks!

Contrary to what I imagined, Im enjoying going to work, as it is a surefire way of the time passing quickly!

AlpinePony I'm so glad I'm not the only one who throws up in her sleep! I hadn't heard of anyone else doing it. I got so tired of running to the bathroom with a mouthful of sick and not quite making it that I now have a bucket at the side of the bed. So last night I woke up and found myself mid-carefully throwing up on my pillow. FFS.

Sorry, OP. I'm 35+6 and have felt like total crap throughout. I remember thinking, when I'd just found out "ooh, it would be fun to have morning sickness because I'd know it was due to the baby." Ha fucking ha. Eat your words and puke 'em back up, Crackpot.

There was a brief point between 12 weeks and 20wks that I quite liked.

themightyskim · 04/10/2011 11:46

ooh Localcrackpot that made me smile, sick in your sleep has got to be a low point surely?! and I have been wishing for morning sickness too for the same reason, Im now glad that it bypassed so far

Echo what a lot of the ladies said here; 2nd trimester was alright, actually some 'glowy' moments. But 1st and 3rd trimester absolutely crap!

spookshowangellovesit · 04/10/2011 12:04

yes yes of course...when some when else is so i can point and laugh.

I enjoyed pregnancy way after it ended! - my dd is 7MO i look back at the photos of me pregnant and really miss my bump and being pregnant and think i looked great in all those photos where i felt like a heffalump. In actuality i didn't enjoy any part of pregnancy, i just felt sick, huge and tired the whole time...but mother nature is now playing a trick on me and convincing me that i want to get pregnant again!! Hmm

hubbahubster · 04/10/2011 13:57

I loved every minute. Honestly. ducks to avoid heavy objects that may be thrown in my direction Felt great, no sickness, bit annoyed about my feet and fingers swelling up but that was it.

The worst bit was the worry that I'd miscarry.

I miss my bump now!

Er no, not a bloomer myself ! Glad I do not work in retail shop anymore as with DS1 customers kept coming in and telling me how ill I looked..... how I never told anyone to F* Off to this day I do not know. I had severe morning sickness from week 5 - 20, was the size of a ship in full sail after that and had the In laws from hell who wanted to move in with us aswell. this time 12 weeks gone I have permanent morning sickness, acne, do not fit in my trousers already so going swimmingly well. I use to have customer who had 6 kids and absolutely loved being pregnant and used to tell me this.......

LoveInAColdClimate · 09/10/2011 22:11

Felt like shite for first 13 weeks, have felt fine since then but only 17+3 so plenty of time for that to change!

Beesok · 09/10/2011 22:26

I am really sorry you ladies had to suffer - being sick in your sleep sounds horrendous Crackpot :(
I must admit (and hide) that I sailed through my pregnancy - no nasty symptoms, no throwing up - some heartburn by week 34 which went away and my asthma got a little worse + headaches and sinuses blocked in first trimester but all gone quickly :)
I do consider myself very very very lucky and frankly have only gotten compliments on how I look and how I'm "carrying it" - fingers crossed I won't get kicked in the a$$ at the birth Hmm - only 8 days until due date Shock
