Did you have any very early pregnancy symptoms before a missed period?

Just wondering out of interest.

This is my first month of TTC so the chances are I won't be pregnant unless i'm very lucky but I haven't been feeling myself the last couple of days (due on next Sunday). In my last pregnancy I had dizzy spells a week before my due on date and so knew I must be pregnant.

Anyone else have any symptoms?

My "PMT" sore nips were far more sore than normal - that's about it for me until after 5 weeks.

Ok just done one of those pregnancy tests four days before and it was negative. Having said that i've realised i'm not due on until Sunday, I was thinking it was Saturday. I will not be so stupid as to do this again, what a complete waste of time and money! I never thought i'd do this. Normally just a pound shop one! Someone give me a virtual slap!

I was fine until I gave blood - then I just couldn't shake off the post-blood dizziness.
that was the main symptom (i think everything just felt like period symptoms, and I was due on that week, so)

POAS on saturday, then.

As my cycle was all over the place, I never really knew when af was arriving.

Had extreme hunger (don't usally have an appetite, before af it increases slightly), cramping and moodiness, that was all, so double checked, anc checked again at least 10 times!
I'm now 12+4

Yes, the sorest of sore boobs, which frankly haven't got any less sore as my pgcy has progressed. Also, I never used to believe it when women said this before it happened to me, but I just 'knew'. I don't think there's any mystical Mother Earth-ness to it, I just think it's because I am generally quite aware of my body and what goes on in/with it, so anything out of the ordinary is pretty glaring, and it was kind of obvious what it was given we hadn't been using contraception around ovulation...

I poas this morning and got a faint but clearly there positive! Not counting any chickens, cos I am only 10dpo, but am slightly freaked out by how early I started to feel weird - about three days :/

oh wow congrats lostlenore! I think my symptoms are all in my head! I am not doing any other pregnancy test unless i'm well overdue!

Hopefully not just all wishful thinking kblu. I'm doing another test on Sunday to hopefully get a bfp but can't sleep cos I feel sick :(

Hi it is myfirst month if trying to conceive, I'm due on a week Tuesday. On Monday I had quite bad cramp, felt quite light headed and a little nauseas, I was quite certain I could be pregnant but since then I've had nothing at all. I do sometimes get cramp while ovulating but not nearly as bad as it was on Monday.

I tested positive 3 days before my period was due as had had reeeeally sore boobs for almost a week, usually I would have them for a day or 2 max before my period but this was quite a few days. That was my only symptom but yes that was before a missed period.

With both my pregnancies, I have had a strange feeling of nostalgia before missed period. I think it must relate to slightly heightened sense of smell or something, but I kept being struck with a sudden happy memory of when I went to Paris as a teenager or whatever.
This pregnancy, I felt nauseous from about a week before period was due but I'm having twins so stands to reason my hormones were higher.

I'm in same position I've had symptoms the last week including aching pain when going loo (number 2 ), tiredness, moody, loss of apatite, shortness of breath, sometimes feeling sick sometimes after food, hot flushes, tearful all these symptoms but negative test :/

Yep - Increase in discharge, slightly swollen genitals and I kept getting a sharp pain in my hip tendon when I got out of bed in the mornings.

Also, I'm pretty Sure B&M sell early pregnancy testing kits. They used to anyway. You can test 5 days before your period and they used to be 2 for 99p.

Yes. I started being sick. A few days later I got the positive test result :)

One thing I will say is that the few months I was ttc I was really aware of the hormonal changes across the cycle. I'd been on the pill for years and the coil for a few years after that so it'd been a long time since I'd had a fully 'natural' cycle. I'd forgotten how crap it can make you feel!

Even though this thread is super old I have found it helpful to read through the posts as I'm in my Two week wait. I can relate to
@Guybrushthreepwoodmp in relation to the comment about Paris, as this week Memories keep coming up of Christmas which is very strange. It's been interesting reading all of your comments x
