Has anyone fainted or been sick in a shop?

21 weeks pregnant. I've just come home from a short trip to the shops. Was queuing in M&S when I suddenly felt so sick and dizzy. I really really thought I was either going to faint or be sick right there in front of everyone. I managed to hold on, leave the shop and sit down outside to have a drink but dear me.....how embarrassing. It was really soooo close. I didn't know what to do. If I should ask for help or just sit down on the floor where I was.

Has this happened to anyone? What did you do? And how did people react????

I fainted walking to work when I was 22 weeks. I could feel it happening, but there was nothing I could do to stop it. Fortunately, a woman passing in her car saw it happen and stopped to help, including driving me home. My doctor (who tended to overreact to everything!) signed me off work for a MONTH afterwards.

Was sick into a clear freezer bag in a busy tube station - managed to find a quiet corner so I only saw one horrified face! I then had to discretely dispose of said freezer bag in a tube station with no bins and a long walk to the nearest loo! Ah the joy of morning sickness Blush

In a very long queue at gatwick passport control (getting back into the country thankfully). Lots of help offered by people around and got chair to myself and bottles of water and best of all personal escort of me, dh and ds through a desk instead of having to queue. The very nice man who came to help the situation asked me if it was the heat and I informed him that it was probably due to being 27 wks pg with twins. My only regret was it didn't happen sooner rather than after standing in the queue for 20 mins!

Oh and in AN clinic when pg with ds1. Received a very nice cup of sugary tea.

I have low blood pressure so recognise the symptoms quite easily from the many times I've done it both pg and not.

Fainted in Carpetright, got cold water and sympathy from manager whose wife was also pregnant. Didn't buy carpet.

Threw up violently, for ages, in the staff toilets of Liberty. Avoided there eversince.
