I am just about five weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. My older child is 7. Today I feel awful. I'm really excited about the pregnancy and DP is over the moon. I have tender, sore breasts, a headache, aching legs, really tired, feeling sick but also sooo hungry. When I try to eat I only manage a little and then have to stop eating because I feel nauseous and the smell of food/coffee/fruit juice is making me ill. The only thing that doesn't seem to affect me is water! I remember morning sickness with my eldest but I don't remember it starting this early. Is anyone else feeling like this? Is it even possible to feel this sick so early on?

No, not dramatic at all, I had 10 weeks off between 6-16 weeks, admittedly due to Hyperemesis, but I felt so dreadful I really couldnt have worked. Rest & look after yourself :)

Mildertduck I totally understand the no sympathy thing! I'm 13 weeks tomorrow and my parents have been amazing but my mother and father in law have no idea what its like!

Mother in law even suggested that the more healthy you were the less sick you are! I don't have the energy to argue!

I just want the sick to go....

I was just about to start this exact thread, nice to know I'm not the only one. I know lots of people who are pregnant and only one of them has had nausea/vomiting. They don't know how lucky they are! Obviously we're all lucky, we're pregnant, lots of people would love to be; but I was hoping this time would be better, and I'd just 'sail through' and be one of those annoying people who said 'oh I hardly knew I was pregnant!'. (cue me trying to smile but actually just looking like I'm sucking on a lemon). As it is I'm 6 wks tomorrow and I've been feeling rubbish for about 5 days - constantly 'car sick' and absolutely knackered. I couldn't believe the nausea started so early! Hope that means it finishes early too (with DD it finally went around 20 wks)

Yerp, was about to start this thread too! 15 weeks, with twins. Ribs ache (and worried, broke them 2 yrs ago and they healed squint so worried with the strain they'll crack again), constant 'period'/stitch pains, sick, nauseous, wind (nice), tired, but keep waking up at night, nightmares (is anyone else getting that?), can't sleep, boobs are agony, itchy...not to mention 17 year old DS to cope with and his EFFIN PERSONAL STATEMENT!!! oh, and moving house...

What larks!

It seems I conviently forgot how much early pregnancy takes it out of you. I am now 7 weeks + 1 and still unbelievably tired. Yesterday I was exhausted and yawning all day. I could hardly keep my eyes open and felt really dizzy and weak. By 3 o'clock I was crawling up to bed. I slept from 3pm till almost 6pm, then by 9.30pm me and my 7year old ds were sound asleep again. I woke several times through the night with an urge to pee and all night I was having really vivid dreams. I woke up this morning with a splitting headache and just feel awful and the pain in my boobs is just horrendous. I can't wait to just feel normal again.
