early scan tommorow and nervous

I think mainly due to the fact that I had ptsd after my experience at the same hospital with dd 2 yrs ago. My stomachs churning at the thought of it all. Lots have talked of internal scans , what does this entail ? Or am I better off not knowing???The women who booked me at my gps for this said i didnt need to drink the pint of water you normally do????

quite ironic really that my 1st dealing with the dept , is with someone fed up and probably wants her shift over. Someone obviously wants me to face my fear head on.

Hi maybetwo, I have just had an early scan (7 wks exactly) and it was external. I can really empathise with your anxietyI was terrified, because last time I was in the EPAU I received bad newsand hope that your dealings with the hospital when you arrive are as positive as mine were. I could see a blurry shape which the nurse assured me was in fact a 7-week old pregnancy, and it was beautiful.

yes, in Feb I had a miscarriage, but this pregnancy is OK so far (fingers crossed). Got to have another scan in 3 weeks because the last miscarriage happened at 9wks.

A big Phew , I have a little baked bean , I saw its little heart going to and couldnt quite comprehend it all. I had an external and they could see , but had to do internal one too to check heart. I still dont think its sunk in quite yet that its all ok so far, I think Im going to worry all the way through with this one , but I need talking out of that!!

I did have a bit of cry sitting in the waiting area of the EPU area, ss directly opposite is the dreaded post natal ward were I had problems , so may be a cathartic release of stuff pent up for a couple of years. It was like I was aghost re living things all over a again for a fleeting few minutes.

I need to book in to see gp I think as have giddy spells , so may have low bp or anemia ?
