So I am a little worried today as yesterday I had some brown discharge and this morning a little spotting. But the bigger thing is my symptoms seem to be going ifykwim. Slept better last night (have been sleeping badly with hot flushes), boobs feel less sore and ?tight? stretching pains have disappeared?.. also don?t feel need to go to loo as much. Do early symptoms gradually tail off/calm down anyway or is this the begingin of the end (I am 5 or 6 wks btw).
I know no one can really say either way but if anyone has any experience of this and can tell me the outcome I would be most grateful

Oh damn, so sorry, whatonearth.

Ectopic pregnancies are bloody scary, it's good that you're (mostly) ok.

woe - firstly (((((((((hugs))))))))) i'm so sorry you have gone thru this.

secondly - I only have one overy/fallopian tube. there was conflicting advice when I started TTC - it would take longer/it wouldn't/I couldn't be able to concieve naturally. etc but 3 out of the 4 dr's I spoke to (the odd one out was a fertility specialist) said the one remaining overy will 'win' the release by defult so as long as thta tube/overy is healthy all should be well - i've been PG 3 times ove 7 years, first one was a pure accident literally, second unfortunatly was a M/C, but this time (caught the very next month after m/c) is sucessful and i'm now 28 weeks. so please don't give up hope honney. (((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) you will be tender/sore in that area for approx 4 weeks (least I was) I still have twinges but on the whole it's ok. also m/w has said if ever I need a c section they'll use that scar again. tht.

Oh, I am so, so sorry. A very dear friend of mine had something very similar to you last year - an eptopic that burst, leaving her with one ovary. It was horrible and traumatic, but I have just come back from having lunch with her and her beautiful two month old baby boy that she got pregnant with totally naturally afterwards.

It is possible to get pregnant and carry a healthy baby - just get yourself better and take lots of care.

Thank you so much for all your kind words and it?s nice to hear positive things too.
I had felt quite lucky as I got pregnant within 5 months and had been taking it very easy and not obsessing (which was very much what I wanted). Now it seems if we want to try again that won?t be an option (they tell me I have to plan as I will need to know as early on as poss if I do manage to preg) an I?m very sad that that choice has been taken away from me. I desperately don?t want to get my knickers in a twist about it and, but the though of possible problems fills me with sadness??
Anyway, I think I will start a new thread over on bereavement and see if anyone else has had a similar experience and gotten a good result in the end!
Thank you for all your thoughts.

Hi whatonearth - really sorry to hear what you have been through - i had an ectopic in jan this year while on clomid - i recovered quite quickly and am now 30 weeks pg - on clomid again but that was because of my hormone levels. My consultant said that it did reduce the chances of conception but that it is not as simple as 50% as an egg from either ovary can go down the remaining tube as the top of the tube has receptors that attract the egg. It didn't take you too long to get pg first time round which is a good sign so try and be positive!
