Nuchal thickness - what was your risk?

Hi,
I'm curious to see what risk you were given after your nuchal test. This is my second baby and was measured at 1.8mm at 12.4 weeks. But my previous baby was only 0.6mm at 11.5 weeks. I can't help feeling slightly concerned that its not similar to last time. Although I know 1.8mm is supposed to be ok. Got a week to wait until results come in.
Can anyone with similar thickness measurement remember what there overall risk factor was?
Thanks

Congratulations scaryg. That must have been such a relief for you. Good luck to everyone else waiting.

Congratulations to you scaryg!

And thanks to chipmonkey for the reassurance - although 12 weeks prem, that must have been a big Shock for you!

I'm not sure what the actual measurement was but that combined with my blood test gave me a risk of 1:33697 which seemed very exact Grin I was fairly sure I'd be low risk anyway as I'm only 26 but to be honest I'm still guilty of getting worried sometimes.

It was rather a shock but she is a little pet and we are getting over it!

hi all, my first time on this forum, i went for my scan yesterday and mine measured 6.3 ( 13 weeks plus 1) which is so high compared to some of you, i'm so worried and like scaryg the midwife suggested no point of blood test and has given me the option of the cvs. Really stuck on what to do i dont want to risk the baby by doing the test because regardless of the outcome I won't terminate so is there any point in me doing the test? please help any advice much appreciated. I'm 31 and have also developed gestational diabetes and doctors have put me on insulin - can this also be a factor?

Hello,

You might get more answers on the Antenatal tests/choices board. Good luck and hope you get some good advice from people who have been in similar situations.

Mine was 1.7mm and I've just turned 40. Risk was given as 1:2400 so I was happy with that. No cause for concern at anomaly scan.

Hi, mine was 3.5mm and with bloods my risk was 1.5
I now have a beautiful perfectly healthy 8 week old daughter Smile
