oesteopathy in London for pregnancy?

Spoke to a midwife during my anti-d injection today about poss SPD, she suggested getting in touch with an oesteopaths based in Waterloo which does sessions for pregnant women for £15ish because they're 4th year students, she said just google them but I'm not sure which place it is!

Any ideas?!

Not sure about Waterloo, but the British School of Osteopathy is in Borough, it's the same deal with the 4th year students (but at £22) - I've been going there for a few weeks now, they're wonderful! Thursday afternoon's are their expectant mother's clinics, but I have gone on other days too.

was going to see a chiropractor or get my MW to refer me to a physio but the other MW reckons oesteopathy will be better

I don't have much experience of osteopathy - only just started seeing one recently for SPD, recommended to me by nice woman at Pelvic Partnership - but I would be happier (if finances allowed) seeing an experienced osteopath who has treated lots of women over several years for something like SPD, because it can be such a severe painful condition, and I'd want to be sure they knew were sure what they were doing. Whereas if I was going for a haircut or a massage, I'd be happy to try a cheaper trainee, because there's less at risk, if that makes sense?

yeah that does make sense, but I'm in the same position really, not sure I could afford several treatments with a fully qualified oesteopath and I'm quite reassured by the Expectant Mother clinic...will give them a call today and see what they say

If you have £50 a session, i can recommend an osteo with masses of experience who specialises in SPD (lectures on it in fact). North London.

The British School of Osteopathy is supposed to be very good. Also Balham Osteopathic Practice is a lovely guy who helped my pelvis no end in pregnancy. He teaches at the BSO, I think.

I went to the British School of Osteopathy recently for my developing SPD and they were great. Sorted it out and have felt so much better. I ended up going twice as had two treatments, and they left it open if I would need to go back, but I haven't needed to and I'm 38 weeks now. One thing though is don't be shy, as there are 3 students in the room with you and then the tutor while you're sat there in your bra and knickers!
