What is early pregnancy about? The trick it seems to me is this - Now that we've managed to fall pregnant, we need to quickly forget that we are indeed pregnant.... so do join in and let's help each other be blissfully ignorant till the 12 week mark.

womanlytales they are mad arent they?! most of mine are ok just totally stupid and they seem really real so they do take a bit of coming round from, have had a couple of horrors but thankfully not too many!

talktalktalk Ive been chuckling away thinking TWINS! my good friend is six months with twins and she just ballooned straight away so good luck with that, as much as I want a baby I think twins would finish me off!!!!

rimmer08 · 07/09/2011 19:37

Another one here that has had awful stomach pains mikaela.has anyone else had the farts big time? Oh my days!

themightyskim · 07/09/2011 21:12

lmao yes to that too, although I do suffer with a dodgy stomach anyway so not entirely sure I can blame the pip for that :p

MikaelaL · 07/09/2011 23:56

womanlytales - Wish I had the chance to dream Envy ! I'm not sleeping well at all. Have just got back out of bed after 2 hours of staring at the ceiling. Will have another try in half an hour or so.
I have been finding that I struggle to get to sleep and then wake up at around half 3 every morning. Husband is not impressed (and nor am I)!

talktalktalk - Congrats on a 4th addition! Fingers crossed for you that it won't be a 4th, 5th,...6th?,......or maybe even 7th???? all in one go!

rimmer08 · 08/09/2011 17:05

possibly TMI but i am very 'ahem' wet Blush and want sex more :)

Rainday · 08/09/2011 18:51

hi I've put on some weight to - but not sure because of pregnancy or quitting smoking possibly both I'm 5 weeks and 3 days kind of exciting but trying not to think about it very strange circumstance, also torn between telling everyone in the world and no one just in case it doesn't work out. lots of twins in my family to so thats freaking me out to good luck to you all

dreamc1 · 08/09/2011 19:01

The waiting is horrible. I'm 10 weeks 2day. Had the booking app this morning. MW said it was too early to hear the hb :-(
I have a scan booked for next Fri, due to us going on holiday next Sat for a few weeks.
I will be much happier when I have seen and heard 'munchkin's hb. Worry so much. Have had no problems though; no bleeding. Still have all the pg symptoms, but I still worry and the waiting is crap.

Little9 · 08/09/2011 22:39

Hello All. I'm about 5 weeks and am starting to think I may have dreamt it all up. This is my first and do not have an awful lot of symptoms except stomach twinges. Fingers crossed all is well. Probably panicking over nothing, but this has been the longest week ever. Roll on 12 week scan! Am due in early May. Congratulations to everyone and fingers, toes, eyes, legs (bit late on that front, lol!) crossed for us all!!

themightyskim · 09/09/2011 09:48

Little9 welcome to my club lol, and if your anything like me Im seven weeks now and still without much to go on - I think I want morning sickness daft as that sounds, although if I stop waiting for that and actually think about what I have I do have a few symptoms - slightly, and I do mean slightly tender boobs, mad dreams, I keep going off foods for a few days and tbh im hardly eating at the moment my appetite is gone, I get stomach twinges and the odd big pain (which throws me in to panic) and my hormones are mental, Ive spoken to a lot of mums about this including my own and all I cant say is symptom free pregnancy appears to run in my family - we should count ourselfves lucky I suppose!!!

womanlytales · 09/09/2011 09:54

absolutely mighty consider yourselves lucky :) My family are also into symptom free pregnancy - sadly that's not the case with me..though I am grateful it's not terribly bad either. Though I have the symptoms it isn't any more reassuring that everything is ok -- lol - - I think the 12 week period is just like this - a bit of a wake up call to prepare us for the remaining six months.

Me too little9 and themightyskim - barely any symptoms and keep thinking I'm imagining the whole thing. Spoke to midwife yesterday to get referred and on the system (long story but doctor was an idiot and said he'd refer me to a midwife and didn't!!) and she said I should count myself lucky, and that some women just don't get any symptoms, and that those that do would do anything to swap places!

themightyskim · 09/09/2011 10:07

womanlytales I agree and what a wakeup period it is lol - its strange we had to have a group appointment to discuss blood tests etc and give us our bounty packs and Ive been so annoyed about it, mainly from the perspective that if I saw anyone I knew the secret would be out, but I have to say it was lovely to sit with other mums and somehow that appointment brought it all home a bit

pep124 I bet your not really counting yourself lucky though are you lol

5 weeks left to wait for me and it cant go quick enough he he :o

Little9 · 09/09/2011 10:28

Thanks ladies. It's good to know I'm not the only one. On thinking about it, my sister didn't get an awful lot of symptoms either so will think myself extremely lucky as you say and try not to worry!! Actually mighty I suppose there are a few symptoms such as extremely greasy skin, constantly got a thirst on, weeing like Niagara Falls and want to eat everything in the house. Not long now dreamc1, good luck for next week. I'm the dame ad you rainday, want to tell everyone but as so early don't want anyone to know in case if the worst happening. Will wait until after scan to announce to everyone - have a feeling thus is going to be the longest 7 weeks! Oh, well. Will try to enjoy it whilst I'm not puking! :o

rimmer08 · 09/09/2011 12:10

i am having really bad cramps now, woke me up this morning. somethi9ng to worry about?

pep124 · 09/09/2011 13:00

themightyskim - you're right, not at all - keep wondering if I'm going mad, imagining the whole thing, and am just going through the menopause instead! or expecting the worst to happen. But as you say little9 I do have some mild symptoms I guess: I have bigger (and a bit sore) boobs and won't let myself drink post 8pm now as if I do I'm up all night! Even when I don't I'm up at half five without fail feeling like I'm about to wet myself - makes me feel like a pensioner!

Little9 · 09/09/2011 13:10

rimmer - from seeing many comments about cramps/twinges on here and after speaking to doctor, as long as there is no coloured discharge or bleeding it just seems to be things bedding in!
Am feeling less worried about lack of any real symptoms. As my DH pointed out, I'm currently moaning about not having sore boobs, etc but when and if they do start hurting, I'll be moaning that they're sore! :)

Failsafe · 09/09/2011 16:34

little9 i'm exactly the same, no sickness, no sore boobs only a few twinges and thats it.
My DH keeps laughing at me prodding my boobs to see if they're sore yet! Grin

rimmer08 · 09/09/2011 16:55

thanks for the reassurance little9, no discharge or bleeding. :)

MrsSET · 09/09/2011 18:25

Hello ladies :)

I am 5 weeks too. Don't really feel any different at all but done about 25 tests and they are all positive plus seeing my doctor on Wed so will then go from there!!

I think I am due in early May - but it feels so long away at the moment!!

Thinking of having a private scan - any of you thinking of doing the same? If so, what week is the earliest you can get it done?

Looking forward to sharing the journey with you all :)

themightyskim · 09/09/2011 19:14

rimmer I had horrid pains yesterday which laid me pretty low but I seem ok today x
