Morning sickness- what did you eat to get through it?

I'm really struggling with morning sickness when I wake up. So hungry for breakfast but really struggle to stomach anything like toast, cereal, fruit etc. Yesterday morning I woke up and all I wanted was the left over chicken pie from dinner, I thought it would be really daft to have that for breakfast so put up with a 1/4 bowl of cereal as that was all i could manage. By 11am I gave into my stomach and had the pie! Mmm, chicken pie for breakfast!! Don't you just love pregnancy?
Have now figured that it is better to just go with my stomach rather than what I 'should' have for breakfast!

In my previous pregnancy I craved (later on) potatoes and used to have them for breakfast lunch and tea. But that was in the later months. This time it's started in the second month!

Cookies. Hundreds of cookies.
At first I survived on chocolate digestives but then my shop stopped stocking them Angry (I'm not in the UK) so I had to buy lots of different biscuits to find out which one I could stomach.

At the worst stages I couldn't eat anything before 11am, even water came back up. So I just gave up trying to eat as I was so fed up of being sick.

DH laughed at me because I couldn't eat bread, sandwiches etc. and one day coming home at lunchtime because I was so sick I saw a shop with roast chickens in them...and couldn't resist! Blush Spent the rest of the day nibbling cold chicken with ketchup.

McDonalds Still Fanta. Both pregnancies. First time round i worked in the city centre, so used to get 5 supersized ones on my way to work and put them in the fridge.

This time round I work nowhere near a McDs so DP brings me one home and I resist the urge to drink it before the morning!

I got really excited when I saw they do bottled Still Fanta now, but its not the same!! :(

In my second pregnancy I ate tons of quiche. Sounds really wrong doesn't it? I think it was all the fat and protein that stopped that horrible nausea. Eergh! remembering it now. My friends thought I was really strange. Gone off it now....
