ds2 is called Harry

OhlittletownofEIDSVOLD · 11/12/2005 20:53

I like Aidan - means small fiery one - was a possible name on our list.

Tegan - like - was on our list for dd2 as was Maya - just worried people would pronounce it May-a rather than mya.

I can appreciate where your dh is coming from - after teaching for about 12/13 years I then had dd1 and subsequently dd2 and so many names just conjured up images of children I had taught.

Like Warwick as a boys name - although living inthe Uk probably not advisable - people will think that is where he was conceived - but I like it and figured it would be shortened to Rick.

Dh and I also like

Megan
Grace
Claire
Rebecca
Eleanor
Amy Louise

William - shortened to Will
Benjamin James was our boys name had dd2 been a boy

CaRowlers · 11/12/2005 21:00

I teach a boy called Stone.
Just thought I'd throw that one in.

CaRowlers · 11/12/2005 21:01

It might cause a ripple

TurkeyGang · 11/12/2005 21:04

Re the mention of Elsie earlier, yes, that sounds v old fashioned but I like Elsa or Ailsa.

MrsSpoon · 11/12/2005 21:18

Mandymoo, I like Aidan with an a rather than e. Also like Ethan and Jamie. Out of the girls names you have suggested I like Maya best, also love Green & Blacks Maya Gold, yum, yum.

MINNIE1 · 11/12/2005 23:30

Evie and Jamie

melrose · 11/12/2005 23:35

Can't hearc Aiden without thinking of Sex in the CIty! Love Madeleine but EVie becoming really common, know 3 born in last month!

jersey · 12/12/2005 08:21

Evie as its my cousins daughters name, and Thomas as I know a baby Thomas as well.

Elf1981 · 12/12/2005 08:56

Evie for a girl as its my daughters name
I'd say Thomas for a boy but I know a lot of them, I'd go with Jamie.

mazzystar · 12/12/2005 09:14

they are all nice namesin themselves. (my dh is jamie thomas - and copes very well with the baby name given he's a big hairy bloke). and my mum is called eva.

but imho they are all a bit too fashionable and may date.

veuveclicquot · 12/12/2005 09:29

Evie & Harry. My DSS is Harry and he's a complete cutie, even though he's a hormonal 15 year old.

allycotownofbethlehem · 12/12/2005 16:40

Evie (I have an Eve) and Thomas

JenumPoinsetta · 12/12/2005 16:57

I would go for Evie too and Harry or Harrison shortened to Harry for a boy. I also like the name Ethan - it's my ds2's middle name.

QueensSpeechEagle · 12/12/2005 17:05

Evie and Jamie are my faves from that list

RodeHoHoHo · 12/12/2005 17:12

Madeleine

and

Harry or Thomas

geranium · 12/12/2005 21:38

Evie & Jamie ('though Evie is really popular these days). What would Madeleine be shortened to?! And, to throw in an additional random name - how about Eden? I've heard of a couple of girls called that recently.

collision · 13/12/2005 00:09

Madeleine is usually Maddie I think. I do like Maddison too but it would date and become a bit naff perhaps.

Not sure about Eden.

BluStocking · 13/12/2005 00:30

Madeleine, Harry

polly28 · 13/12/2005 00:34
