Hi all - I am currently in the third trimester (28 + 3) with my first baby. I was wondering how you are feeling at this stage and further along? I must confess that this last couple of weeks I have felt pretty un-enthusiastic about being pregnant, feeling more tired again, uncomfortable and sooooo much indigestion (acid reflux), oh and ankles like Shrek - joy!

How are you getting along?.....now grumpy - M X

35+2 and cream crackered!

HP I am exactly the same - was all smug about my nice easy pregnancy until about 2 weeks ago when everything hit me at once - I seemed to double in size, the heartburn started, suddenly bending, twisting, walking etc became impossible, need to wee at least every 2 hours in the night, the list goes on!

However, the Dr thinks the baby will be here in 3 weeks as opposed to 5 so not long to go. I'm super excited but am just waiting for the fear to kick in now, I reckon once labour actually starts I will suddenly realise I'm having a BABY and go into meltdown :)

I'm definitely in awe of anyone who does this when they already have a small child/children to look after - I feel a bit pathetic in comparison!

Am 37 weeks and from 30 weeks all the first 12 week symptoms came back with added hearturn. Have been sick a lot after eating and the baby rolls and kicks all the time which makes me vomit. Have also got swollen gums back which bleed a bit but have started havng signs of labour just don't know how long they will string out for. Am hoping next few days as I have Had Enough! I was lucky to have long mat leave as am teacher and just don't know how some people cope still working at 37 weeks. Hope things ease off for the rest of you. Smile

33 weeks and, having felt quite good till 30 weeks, am really exhausted now.

Have DD (2 yrs) to run round after - have just got back from a whole day out of seeing friends, taking her round the town for new shoes followed by the weekly shop, and I am sitting here wondering how on earth I will get through the next couple of hours - making her cheese on toast etc for supper, doing bath and bed, tidying up all the toys and assorted stuff scattered about after a toddler day, and putting away all the shopping! Yawn!

What will happen is I will get it all done, DH will make supper, we will eat about 8.30 and as soon as I've finished I will start weeping about how tired I am and DH will rub my feet and say "it's alright, love, go and have a sleep now and it will all be better in the morning!" He's right! Grin

The two good things about the 3rd trimester is (1) it really is nearly over (contrast the misery of the first trimester when you still have months to go!) and (2) DH (mine at least) becomes much more attentive and considerate as they can see the baby moving with the naked eye and how huge and knackered you are and they feel sorry for you.

Right, Charlie and Lola has nearly finished so time to gird up the old loins and do DDs supper.

Chin up everyone, not long to go now.

32 weeks, no stamina, I feel like an old person having to sit down for a breather every half hour or so. Keep getting that zombie-like tiredness where you just sort of stare into space and can't really join in any intelligent conversation. And I've got a hacking cough that's been dragging on for weeks that the doc reckons is caused by acid reflux irritating my throat.

Last time I worked on my due date, and managed to refurbish and open a shop while pregnant. This time I struggle to manage a full day without crashing out on the bed at some point.

I had a growth scan this week and baby is around 4lb 6oz - bang on average. Now slightly freaked out as my bump seems roughly the same size as it was full term with DS, and he was more than twice what this baby weighs at the moment. I feel fit to burst already - no idea where I'm going to fit the extra few pounds that baby still has to put on!!

Am 29 + 1 and have been fed up for a few weeks!! Was sick for pretty much first 20wks, and then i sprouted and got a really uncomfy sized belly, grew pregnant in my arse and thighs and am now having to nap daily and feel so tired i could sleep standing up.
Get aches/pains daily and don't get me started on bra's/boobs! Actually, i sound like a right miserable cow and have to say that it pretty much sums me up Blush

31+6 weeks, my back hurts most of the time when I am at work, went to the Physiotherapist today, very sore after but I am hoping it has helped. Want to go to sleep most afternoons but can't as I have two more weeks at work although the midwife may write me off for the last week if my back is still the same.

I think my DD 3.5 years hates me half the time as I can't do much with her, including sending her to her child minder today so I could see the physio without her. I can't wait to finish work.

Nice to know i am not the only one suffering.

35+5 and completely creamcrackered! Hips hurt, acid indigestion, huge weight gain and a 1 yr old hypermobile and active daughter to entertain and look after. And my husband is off to sea on Monday for 'a week or so' but 'don't worry they've said they can get me ashore within a couple of hours if necessary' Hmm. And we live in another country away from friends and family Shock. So I'm not exactly, rested or relaxed as you might imagine. But I do feel better for that mammoth whinge! Thanks for listening...

Allboxedin · 02/09/2011 19:35

Bump you have such a nice DH! Mine would never do that ! :(

stripeymummy · 04/09/2011 05:34

Meh! Am especially enjoying the 4am to 5/5.30am wakenings, normally when LO is having a wee party down there Hmm. Oh well, nothing to do but drink decaf tea and wait for things to calm down - am v glad I had to go onto early maternity leave, otherwise I'd be really knackered :)
