I've often thought about this and would like have an opinion from shorter ladies.

I'm 5' 3, had a baby at 37+2, his weight was 5.9 lb

I'm 5ft1 and husband over 6ft. All 3 of mine over 9lbs. My mum's only 4ft10 and my brother was nearly 11lb!!!!!

my MIL is 5'3". When she had DH he was almost 11lbs and he's now 6'2"

I reckon taller ladies do have more room in their abdomen so the 6 footers I know didn't show as much or as early, but didn't seem to have bigger babies.

my friend is 4 ft 10 1/2 and had a baby who weighed 10lbs 3!!

Ok. Forgot to mention in my original threat that I'm also quite petit 110 lb and I was really ready explode with my 5.9 lb baby.
Not so much room between the ribs etc.

My friend carried twins for 38 weeks and they were both over 7 lb. She is much taller and wider than I am and that make me wonder about this original question as I would never be able to do the same. In my opinion.

Nope. My sister is teensy (under 5 feet - she is sooo dainty) and had a huuuuuge baby.
