Has anyone actually had periods during pregnancy or is this an urban myth?

Since having my ds 3 years ago, my periods have been unusually heavy (when compared to before his birth). However, last week when my period arrived it was considerably lighter and only lasted a couple of days. We were a bit careless during the month and now I am wondering if I could be pregnant. I know I should just do a test (!) but half of me thinks I am being ridiculous even considering it, and the other half thinks I would be irrationally disappointed if I tested and it was negative. Has anyone actually had a period and then turned out to be pregnant?

I only found out I was pregnant with ds 3 at ten weeks, I had had a period much lighter than usual and only a couple of days long.

Hey guys I really need ur help, I'm 16 currently in school. So I had sex on February 02 with my friend, it was protected. So it was all okay then I started feeling weird. Nausea, hot at random times, hungry but then picky, sore breasts ect. So I took a test that was negative. But I felt odd so I took another test that came out with a faint line. So I went crazy thinking I'm gonna get killed by my parents. Then my period came on Saturday that just passed, it felt odd. It was light and finished on Sunday. Am I still pregnant because I'm going crazy right now???
