am i pregnant imm confused?

Hi there im wanting some advice please...I started on what I thought was my period on Saturday the 30th which was spotting here and there and nothing heavy...and since then I have contracted a blood clot in my vein as I once had dvt in 2009 when i conceived my daughter Scarlett whom we lost in September 2009 at 17 weeks. Now a similar condition has promted me to think that I may do a pregnancy test as I had the clot in 2009 with my first pregnancy ...I did a test bought off ebay and in which I have used these tests before and been quite reliable...it came up positive. The next day one came up negative..so my hsband and I decided that I should test this Sunday 7th to wait and be sure... it came up positive. As any one got any advice for us as last June we lost our second child at 6 weeks and im nervous to even contact the midwife at the docs.. what should I do?

i'd say that you probably are as it is a lot more common to get a false neg than a false positive.

Sounds like you are pregnant, i dont know much about clots etc but maybe contact the midwife soon to help put your mind at rest?

Congratulations on your pregnancy and I'm sorry about your previous losses. I am in a similar position although I have never had a later miscarriage. However, you need to seek medical attention quickly so that you get the appropriate care. Due to your history of blood clotting and also having had a later loss, you may be classified as high risk and need medication.
If you have been having investigations with the gynae at the hospital, phone them. If not see your doctor as soon as poss and book your midwife appointment.
Have my fingers crossed for a happy outcome for you this time.

well it seems i have lost baby number 3 i went t see the midwife and she comfirmed it was a chemical pregnancy which does not implant into the womb... arwelll me and dh will carry on trying xxx

I would ask to be referred to a specialist regarding your clotting. Blot clots can be related to hormonal changes in pregnancy. I know because when PG with me my mum had a PE and a DVT. Then when she started menopause she had two more DVT.
Please talk to your doctor about medication to prevent any clots forming especially as you are TTC. You never know it may help with a successful PG. It's worth asking about.

Yes I will do that thanks for the advice Eviepoo ...i was put on clexane blood thinner when i was pregnant with the first one i lost so they may do that in the future for me and its not supposed to cross the placenta and safe to use...
Its the first time that some one has given me advice on blood clotting in pregnancy as I didnt know it causes hormonal changes and now i am thinking it is the reason for me having so many losses thanks for that hun xxx
