So far i seem to be one of the minority who don't have any ms. I'm approx 9-10 weeks. My SIL didn't have any either with her 2 children!

Is there anyone else out there who didnt get any ms??

No, well I had morning sickness in one pregnancy but had a MC at 10wks. My 3 successful Pg none. The only sympton I had was that bone crushing tiredness.

PeterSpanswick · 05/08/2011 17:11

I didn't get sickness with either of my ds' - spewed like something out of The Exorcist all through labour though!

shmoz · 05/08/2011 17:12

Never had any Smile
Had the worst f-off heartburn imaginable constantly from about 20 weeks though.
Oh, puked once during labour, and the action of this made a load of fluid gush out of the, ahem, other end; me, DP, best mate and midwives all looked at each other momentarily with 'wtf' faces Grin

I did in my first pregnancy but not in my next three

paddypoopants · 05/08/2011 17:17

I had nothing - didn't even feel queasy. I spent the first 12 weeks worrying that I wasn't really pregnant. Wish I had enjoyed it.

Raises head from bucket to reply sorry, I do but always good to hear of those who're doing well.

Some silly moo told me yesterday that morning sickness is a reflection of how 'toxic' you are. Hmmm - I'm generally quite open to holistic/ alternative medicine but some people really talk bunkum with great confidence Hmm I told her she should submit an article on this to The Lancet and medical science are still trying to understand it and she really should share if she's so sure.

22 weeks today and not had a touch of sickness throughout very lucky I know.

WhenDoISleep · 05/08/2011 18:13

I didn't get morning sickness with DS. Had one slightly queasy morning, but given that it didn't start until I was packed onto the Tube like a sardine, on a hot day, I put it down to that. Did get horrible heartburn from around 24 weeks, but that went away the day I gave birth.

I hope I am that lucky with DC2 (ttc). MS and whilst managing a toddler is not something I really want to experience.

NorthernChinchilla · 05/08/2011 21:17

I too dodged the bullet of MS- occasional mild nausea that would come on during the 20 min train journey to work, that would be resolved by a cheerful (but discreet) burplet when walking the rest of the way to work. That lasted about three weeks in the first trimester.
Felt like a walking corpse through tiredness, and had marvellous zits for the first time in my life though.

However, reading on MN what some poor OPs go through I'm aware I'm incredibly lucky, and will always have buckets of sympathy (and from the sounds of it, lots of buckets full stop) for any woman I know suffering!

No sickness, but at 8 weeks the queasiness has really set in and I spend a lot of time feeling like I'm just about to be sick. It's especially bad at night, so I'm not getting all that much sleep at the moment.

I think sometimes people almost feel a bit guilty if they don't get the sickness- like they're not experiencing a 'proper' pregnancy. Honestly, I'd count it as a blessing if I were you.

LivinInTheMoment · 11/08/2011 18:24

Gosh Itrytobezenbut thats crazy!! Where did she come up with that toxic theory, what a load of rubbish!!

I have (almost) never had MS - in 8 pregnancies Shock: 4 MCs and 4 successful ones Smile (I did have a tiny bit of any-time-of-day-queasiness when pregnant with DS4 and totally went off the smell of pork Hmm, but I don't really count that).

I am just mentioning my experience because some old bat lady had told me that you have to be properly sick for the pregnancy to stick. After 3 MC and no MS I was about ready to believe her...

Itrytobe, what utter bollocks! Hope you feel better soon.
BTW, I was also told you'd feel more sick the more anxious you are. As I was worried out of my box after my previous experiences, yet no sign of sickness even with 'sticky' pregnancies, I put that one to bed fairly quickly, daft moo!

blueeyedmonster · 11/08/2011 21:08

I never had it with ds and haven't so far with this one (17wks). I felt queasy early on until 12 weeks with this one but was never sick. It was usually when I was hungry.

Beesok · 11/08/2011 21:21

None here (30 wks!) but the bl*dy blocked nose and sinus headaches made up for it Angry thank god they stopped once I hit 6 months .....

happyjules · 11/08/2011 22:33

A little bit of nausa for a few days/a week both times. Hideous heartburn both time and puked like buggary in labour twice!! That only stopped when I got in the pool both times thank God

benne81 · 12/08/2011 00:22

Hi I had mild nausea for a few weeks but nothing remarkable - it really made me panic though as my mum told me that MS was a sign of a good pregnancy thats progressing well (she thought I was having more than I was!) from the moment she told me that I had none! I think it is meant to be related to HCG levels and I know from my combined screening that my HCG was in my boots so maybe that is why.

For others - is it true that no MS means a boy, I'm 33 weeks and want a surprise but enjoy guessing!

madhattershouse · 12/08/2011 00:26

I have had 3 pregnancies to term, one with twins, never had any morning sickness at all. Even the G.P. was surprised with the twins, felt a little queasy but a couple of biscuits always solved that!! Before my first dc I suffered 2 mc's and was always terrified that the lack of nausea was a ba sign, not so in my case. Some get it all day all the time (like a friend of mine, sat in the bathroom almost all day), some rarely or never.

Macaroona · 12/08/2011 00:32

Benne - I have had awful morning sickness and found out today I'm having a boy! Was a real shock because everyone told me it must be a girl as I was so sick!
