Doctor gave me Lactulose, but it's not working. I even increased the dose slightly, but it's not having the desired effect!
Have tried flaxseed, kiwis, more fruit in general, lots of water and increased fiber, walking...

Don't want to have to go back to the doctor, but it's getting soooo uncomfortable...

any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated!

Drink a glass of near hot water every morning and night. Worked for me.

I found bouncing on the birthing ball helped too

Huge amounts of dried and fresh fruit works for me, recommended by my mum. It worked well enough for her that she managed 8.5lb babies without piles!

It doesn't have to be prunes, by the way. I'm getting through handfuls of dates and fresh apples, but most fruit seems to work if you have enough.

Actimel works every time for me and my DH (not even sure if it's meant for that 'purpose', but whatever!)

My mum swears by "going to the library". Not a euphemism - she says as soon as she gets in the library she needs to go Confused. Maybe it's like the 'show home' suggestion above!

Sounds a bit random, but pineapple juice has always worked wonders for me. Particularly the cheap, from-concentrate stuff in Lidl, for some reason. If you're eating fruit, remember to eat the skin, where appropriate - apparently apple skins are good fibre-wise. Good luck!
