heavy bump

HI there

Is it just me, or is there something wrong, or am I overdoing it? I feel when I am walking that the bottom of my bump is quite sore - like it's really heavy. When I'm sitting I can feel the babe moving around, but walking I feel so shattered and like i have to support the underneath. I'm only 23 weeks, so it seems a bit early to start wearing a support belt......

God I'm tired. Every night I find it such a struggle to bath ds and read him a story even though the au pair often helps out and DH too. Last night I told him that I want someone to give me a bath, put my pjammies on and give me a bottle of milk and read me a story.....basically i want my mummy, but I think at 33 I'm supposed to be a bit past that.

its probably just stretching pains, is this your 2nd? you are prob noticing more tired cause you have some one to look after, not just you! sounds like you have help at home so why not make the most of it and let them look after you a little bit? get DH to run you that bath and have a hot choc waiting when you get out!

Klara, I am exactly the same...I am 26 weeks and feel very heavy down by my pelvis. bending down yesterday to change and dress my DS (20mths) hurt like hell!
I am also very very tired.......but DS has had a cold/cough and only Mommy will do, for a week, he also wants me to pick him up all the time which is becoming impossible.
Only things that pep me up are swimming (bliss to feel weightless!) and chocolate...

Get some giant tubigrip (chemist should have some) - gives that little bit extra support. If you wear it all day, then take it off in the evening, then you get that nice "Ahhhhh" feeling like putting your feet in warm socks .

I was hurting soooo bad until about a week ago (27 weeks now), and the baby must have shifted position, and it now feels bruised from where it was aching for so long, but I don't feel like its all going to fall out the bottom of the bump anymore, and I don't need the tubigrip for the time either.

Yes, I have it too, and I think it's related to my SPD as it's on the same side. My actual pelvis isn't too bad at the moment, but it feels like I've pulled muscles all down the left side of my bump. the only thing to ease it is rest, which is impossible with the children. I'm just about managing the school run and a bit of tidying up at home and that's it - I'm totally exhausted and achey. I have a support belt, but I'm not really sure how much it helps - it's quite uncomfortable to wear, hot and itchy. A hot bath at the end of the day is lovely though.

I get the impression from speaking to other people that the tubigrip is more comfortable than the support belt (but obviously less supportive )

I was so worried about SPD, it was a relief when I could say that it was due to positioning - I feel for you RP...

I've got a support belt going free for p&p if anyones interested. Only wore it a couple of times and had my baby 7 weeks ago so it's fairly new. I also got the black one as it's a bit more attractive than the white one!!

Thanks everyone - good to know it's not unusual. I will dig out my lovely support belt. I think the tierdness stems from having to work full time 5 days a week, having my ds to take care of in the evenings (As you say only mummy will do), oversee supper (before dh blows up the kitchen) and to top it all off we have the builders in at the mo, so every evening when I get home there is a thin layer of dust over everything......ahh well ...things can only get better..

BigBumpBonnie, I'm interested in the support belt. Could you let me have some details at [email protected]?
Many thanks.
I am 19 weeks and huge with pg2. Ds was 9lb, I'm just hoping the next one isn't going to be as big. V uncomfortable - I am struggling to stand long enough to do the washing up!
Enough of the complaining - I am delighted to be pg again, as I was originally told I couln't have any naturally. Just ... got ... to ...get... through... the next... few ...months...
