just wanted to whinge really bearing in mind i posted about this a few weeks ago when I was still sick. Well, I'm STILL sick and it is doing my head in. It's 24/7 and whilst admittedly I've had the odd day when I haven't felt really bad, mostly I do. DD is still waking regularly in night so even then when she ges me up it's there, lurking.

God this is so miserable. Anyone else still suffering this far along? and that isn't an envious face it's a bleurgh one..

You have my sympathies - I was sick for the entire 9 months, morning, noon and night, and it's wretched. I can't offer any solutions, because I didn't find any, but I can offer empathy!

thank you WWB. God I hate whining. Can't do it at work because I don't want people thinking I am a whinging pg woman. My kids don't give a toss and DH bless him is getting a mite tired of all this. Seeing as it was all his fault in the first place...

Bollocks

Me too. Although it did wain to managable in the middle of my pregnancy, it cae back full force at the end. I didn't find any solutions either - but do send my whole hearted sympathies.

allyco · 27/11/2005 21:29

oh yes (at least I think so). Was even in hospital and got a couple of wonder drugs, but couldn't be discharged on them as too expensive for outpatient use

Woman in next bed on methadone though and they couldn't do enough for her (probably shouldn't have said that as someone may want to slate me for it!!)
Only thing that really works is being asleep I think!

Men ... they just don't get it, do they. If he's getting tired of it, can't he see how you feel? A nice, carefully aimed bit of throwing up onto his lap might help with that one ...

allyco · 27/11/2005 21:30

this is brill - I thought it was only me and it obviously isn't so I shall henceforth stop complaining. It could be worse

I will have you know I throw up very discreetly. When at work they don't even know I have done it. Don't think I could do a full force one IYKWIM.

DH once spewed all over me when pissed though...

Then it's about time you returned the favour

Gem754 · 27/11/2005 21:37

My Dh didn't believe me until I threw up right in front of me. He throught I was putting it on

Couldn't do enough for me afterwards though, so give it a go Allyco.

allyco · 28/11/2005 09:25

didn't post any more last night cos was throwing up!!

Yes it was ondansetron - costs ££££££s if you believe what they say. I would have thought still cheaper than an in-patient bed though.

Went to GP who said oh dear if you are ill enough to need that you should be in hospital, it's for people with cancer you know.

Doh.

Have you even tried the ginger ale thing? (not the beer, its yuk) you could CAT Romilly, from the march thread, see what she does, as she's a hypermesis sufferer.....

PeachyPlumFairy · 28/11/2005 10:14

\linkl{http://www.hyperemesis.org.uk/\ try here for help}

Can't remember if I posted this one already for you, it's my MN standby, a charity I volunteered for. I ended up in hospital on a drip and drugs for this, so rest a lot, read what you can and fingers crossed it'll go away soon. XX
