Oh my God, how exciting. Are you still there, are you ok?

Cabe · 27/11/2005 01:18

Probably a good idea there!
If you can't sleep perhaps a nice warm (but not hot as this can slow contractions) bath with a lit candle and nice smellies would help keep the pain at bay x

Busyalexsmummy · 27/11/2005 01:21

have been in the bath already, it has slowed down the pains a bit and i also had to get out as i started feeling faint(last thing i want to do is faint when the only people in the house are dp whos drunk and ds of 21 months!)
goin to make a cuppa, be back in a bit

Awww, sorry suggestion was a dud! do you have a fave dvd to watch? I watched Bill Bailey at this point I think... DS now 9 weeks I sat on my birthing ball for quite a while too...

What you really need is your man rubbing your back and the both of you getting all excited about what's about to happen and meeting your latest little darling, Any idea what your having? Boy or Girl?

Busyalexsmummy · 27/11/2005 01:33

dont know sex, think its anougher boy....

Have the contractions speeded up any now you're out of the bath? Is it getting toe curling yet or can you just breath through them?

Busyalexsmummy · 27/11/2005 01:43

trust me my toes ARE curling! they f*cking hurt, but they seem relatively short and am breathing and rocking through them at the moment

OP posts:
Busyalexsmummy · 27/11/2005 01:44

still dont seem to be as close together as before i got in the bath though

OP posts:
Busyalexsmummy · 27/11/2005 01:45

right, im going to try and lie down, if not to sleep then at least to get some rest

OP posts:
Cabe · 27/11/2005 01:46

Oooh does sound like things are happening big style! Contractions never last more than 90 secs anyway how long and frequent now? Hope you don't mind my asking... hoping to keep you company whilst I'm still up - not annoy you

Busyalexsmummy · 27/11/2005 01:48

anything between 5-9mins apart at the mo, lasting from 15-30secs each, they are worst when i stand up

OP posts:
Cabe · 27/11/2005 01:49

Ok busy, hope you can rest, don't forget to post when you can after the birth... best wishes to you and your dp, I'm sure he didn't mean to get so pissed xx

ThomCat · 27/11/2005 09:48
