i do!

SackAche · 26/11/2005 21:58

I like it. Was my choice for ds.... had it not been for the fact that EVERY baby boy born whilst I was in with high BP was called Dylan! So I changed it last minute to Toby.

What difference does it make to you though? You're having another girl!

gloriainexcHELSIsdeo · 26/11/2005 21:58

not keen myself but then names are a personal preference. If you like it go for it.

mummytosteven · 26/11/2005 21:59

I think it's a lovely name for a boy.

moondog · 26/11/2005 21:59

Aslong as it is pronounced properly-the Welsh way!

I'm not entirely sure. Part of me says yes, the other part no. If you like it, go for it! But there aere a lot of Dylans about atm, I believe.

Mandymoo · 26/11/2005 22:00

I know a Mners has a son called Dylan but it is not for that reason that I say, yes I do like it as a name, but if I had called one of my sons Dylan, my dad (a Magic Roundabout fan) would never have let me live it down.

moondog · 26/11/2005 22:01

The 'y' to sound like the vowel in 'up' not the one in ''zip'

Lonelymum · 26/11/2005 22:02

Dull-an you mean Moondog?

gloriainexcHELSIsdeo · 26/11/2005 22:02

as in Dulan?

moondog · 26/11/2005 22:03

Yes!

Lonelymum · 26/11/2005 22:03

Hmmm, no, prefer our English way of saying it.

I like it!

Oh and BTW Moondog, well done to your side for beating dh's side today in the rugby. Dh was given a ticket to go to see them play and would have been insufferable if they had won. Now, when he rings his dad to say he saw the Wallabies live, he will have to admit they lost! Classic!

moondog · 26/11/2005 22:07

Excellent!
Thanks for that snippet.

I do, it was a suggestion of mine - until DH pointed out it was his mums dog's name

suedonim · 27/11/2005 00:25

No, don't like it, it's too reminiscent of a Scottish word for someone who's idiotic - a 'dillon'.
