As title suggests being induced on 5 minutes.....

First baby, I'm 39 weeks. Anyone got any nice induction stories for me?

I was induced with DC1, was nowhere near as traumatic as I had expected, and DD was born a mere 8 hours later! Wonderful birth and happy baby.
Best of luck to you xxx

Now 4cm dilated, waiting to be taken to a delivery room so they can break my waters and put me on a hormone drip. WANT THIS BABY OUT NOW!

nicolamumof3 · 12/07/2011 14:26

good luck won't be long now! I had my first ever epidural with ds3 and def having one this time, so ask for one as soon as uncomfortable.

LDNmummy · 12/07/2011 14:32

Just to wish you lots of luck and hope all goes well Smile

HLSalter · 12/07/2011 23:50

Well my waters were broken at 1, put on a hormone drip and given an epidural at 2. Epidural stopped working at 7 but I was fully dilated by the time I was examined so was given gas and air. Started pushing at 9 and my son Mason Mark Osborne was born 25 minutes later weighing 7lb 7oz.

Thank you for all the stories and good luck messages Grin

I had an induction at 39 weeks with DD1. The first pessary at 8am didn't work but the one at 12pm did. By 3pm I was in early labour and by 6pm having regular painful contractions. At 9pm my water broke and by 11pm I was fully dilated. Yes, I had four hours of pushong but DD was happy and healthy despite the cord being around her neck three times.

A non medicated birth so obviously quite easy.

DD2 came in front of the TV after an hour though :o.

Good luck! Let us know!

LauLauLemon · 13/07/2011 08:32

Shit, I was late.

Congratulations!!
