Q for those who had lots of bleeds when PG...

I'm almost 9 weeks pg and so far have had 3 bleeds with slight cramping. I went to my GP and got referred for scans after the 1st 2 bleeds, all was well. I am due to see my GP this afternoon for another referral after the 3rd (heavy) bleed yesterday. I seem to be spending all my time at the GP or EPU at he mo!

Those of you who had frequent bleeds, did you always have a scan afterwards?

And did you ever find out what was causing the bleeds? The sonographer did a v detailled scan and is mystified!

Thanks x

Got scared by so much blood but staff seem not bothered, just left to own devices. They just want to see the blood. Pretty dehumanizing really.

Been admitted. Neck of womb slightly open so all hope I think is gone. I feel alarmingly calm now. I will wait for morning scan and if I have lost my little one mourn then. Thank you to all the lovely ladies who have supported me through this.

So sorry to hear that Ginga. I had one last nov and they aren't nice. Please look after yourself and make sure your family and friends give you lots of support.

Your options will probably be...
a. Miscarry naturally. If you choose this option please make sure you have someone with you at all times as the bleeding can be quite heavy and you might feel faint.
b. Medical management. Pills of some sort but I have no experience so can't tell you much more.
c. Surgical. The op is called an ERPC and is quite a simple procedure that takes about 15 minutes, but you will need a general anaesthetic. I had to have this after option a failed for me, and in hindsight I wish I'd had it straight away.

Thinking of you.

Just logged on today and I'm so sorry to hear your news Ginga. Life can be so cruel sometimes. Please look after yourself and be kind to yourself and your DP. I had a "natural" m/c in Feb, I was 10 weeks, it was tough but not as physically terrible as I'd expected. Cattleprod has given good advice about the options available to you.

Thank you so much to all the other posters who have posted their positive stories, you have really helped be stay positive. I'm as sick as a dog today and slept 12 hours last night so I'm hoping all is well.
