Hi
Thinking of TTC soon and I am finding that I am as afraid the second time as I was the first?

Biggest fear I think is getting proper sick this time (only nausea before) and the heartburn - which was truely hell and SPD returning.

What was different for you the second time? What did you forget about ?

:)

I'm 17 weeks with DC2 (DS is 2.5)...been much sicker, much more tired, hormonal doesn't even come into it but since second trimester kicked in and the sickness disappeared the major difference is I keep forgetting I'm pregnant, have stupidly just had 4 nights on the trot with a glass of wine because only remembered at the bottom of the glass I'm not supposed to be drinking!

Feel much more negative than last time, prob mainly down to hormones but also dealing with worries of another colicky newborn and the death of my career and life with 2 children. Am generally feeling a lot more negative (no lovely bubble of naivetee) but having spoken to MW this may well actually be pre-natal depression anyway.

Sorry!!

THanks you lot

Im praying for the shorter labour and less painful bit

Im also hoping that I defy nature and go for a light baby second time around.
First was nearly 11lbs and born at home without painrelief.

Currently 31wks with DD2, DD1 is 16 months.

I agree with how quickly it's gone by 2nd time round. Someone asked me this morning how many weeks I am, I actually had to check an app on my phone Blush.

After a 30hr labour first time round, I'm also praying for a shorter and less painful one this time!

Something I know differently this time - how much it frickin' hurt last time - and that I'm a complete wuss and definitely can't cope without proper pain-relief. After trying for 24 hours and finally begging asking for an epidural I know not to even bother trying without any pain-relief this time Grin

With regard to this actual pregnancy, I've found it much easier on my body this time round. Apart from feeling like a whale (bump isn't even that big, but seems to be higher up than I remember last time) - I had terrible back pain last time and was signed off work from 5 months, that's not kicked in yet and I'm sure my SPD had started well before this stage too.

I have found myself very tired this time, having a very active 16 month old I very rarely get chance to sit and relax, whereas last time I'm sure I slept most of the final 4 months after being signed off work!

Also know what to do differently after the baby is born, and what guidelines we won't be following Grin
