I was induced with my first 2 DC so have never experienced this.

I fully expected to be induced again but now at 40+2 my waters have gone with a huge gush all over the sofa and floor.

Have gone through 2 maternity pads in the last 10 minutes!

Have no pain though.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Oh how fantastic! Best of luck. Will be thinking of you x

pooka · 11/06/2011 21:35

Exciting! With dc1 my waters broke in hospital, when I was already in labour.
With dc2 they didn't break until he was born. Was very surprised when I was doing the ironing just before due date with No. 3 when they popped. Gushed.

I took the opportunity to have a swift glass of wine. Midwife came and left because no pains. He was born an hour later (she only just made it back).

PrisonerZero · 12/06/2011 04:54

Just a quicky to say he was born at 1.45am weighing 6lb 14oz, after a short intense labour and 3 pushes. Pain kicked in after I last posted and never stopped but bearable all the way through. No name yet.
