This is probably me being silly but I just wondered if anyone else felt like this. We have been TTC for 6 months and feel really lucky that this has happened, looking at how long it has taken other couples I definitely feel blessed. During this process my focus has been on "the second pink line"......now that I'm here I'm worried that things won't work out!!!! I have had a "chemical pregnancy" before and just soooo scared about getting excited because of how devastating it was last time.

I had a talk with the Doctor and she was pretty practical about things.....explaining that up to 2/3rds of pregnancies end in miscarriage during the first 12 weeks - nothing that the mother had done or could have done to change it......I can't say this has helped much though!!!

I have really bad insomnia normally but this is only making me worse.....please tell me I'm not going insane!!!!

Many thanks ladies

Hello all,
Thank you again for all your messages. Have just returned from holiday and sadly we lost the baby. It was devastating to say the least, we were already abroad and I was rushed into hospital. The medical team were utterly brilliant and I was seen within minutes of arriving but there was nothing that they could do.

Not really sure what to do with myself.....the holiday was pretty much a week living under a black cloud. Both of us look around at all the families and thinking how lucky they were. Me wanting to cry every time I saw a baby, child or pregnant woman. I feel a lot more like myself now and know that there was nothing that I could have done but it all feels very cruel and unfair at the moment. I have to go to the Dr.s tomorrow for a check up.

Xxxx

so sorry to hear this; you poor things. Please take care.

Thanks drivingmisscrazy nice to know that people are thinking of us. I really thought I was doing well but I just opened my mail and found a pregnancy book I ordered before we left for holiday. Top that off with pregnacare tablets and a 'congratulations your pregnant' pack from the Dr and I feel pushed over the edge. Hubby is concerned but doesn't really know what to do.......currently wishing I had bought that bottle of wine in the supermarket tonight!!!!

Got Dr appointment tomorrow for a full check up - have lots of questions to ask that couldn't while we were abroad - a big part of me is scared by what the answers are going to be!!!!

Xx

InsomniaQueen i am so sorry for both of you :( i dont have any experience, and there is only so many times the Dr can tell you "it is common before 12 weeks", that still doesnt help you both through your loss. Have a look over at the mc boards on here, i know people they have really helped

Big hugs and good look at the docs xxxxxx

Thanks ladies.....Dr appointment was pretty pointless - was expecting her to check me out, look me over - something.....didn't get anything other than the usual "it's common", "you have a good chance of everything being fine next time", "it was nothing that you did" ect!!!!

Kri5ty I have taken your advise about the MC boards - trying to put things in perspective but not doing so well at the moment!!

Thanks again everyone!!! Xx
