Reached the 12 week mark today and was so ready to let myself relax a little only to find blood when I went to the loo. I also have very slight cramping....well not really cramping but just that odd feeling before you get a period.

I am in a bit of a state. The bleeding has stopped (for now) but I cant stop crying. I am miles from a hospital. Am booked in for a scan on Friday.

I can't do this....

Yay so pleased for you, that must be such a relief! Maybe you should complain to the hospital trust? I would hate others to have to go through what you have been through this week! Smile for a happy outcome though!

Thanks everyone. I cannot stop smiling! DH is being a star and the tea is brewing :)

Such a weight off! The team at the hospital this morning were so fantastic and completely aghast at the A and E doctor....think the woman doing the scan was ready to drive down and give him a good telling off!

Maybe this will put some minds at ease.

I am a mother of 5, 5 normal pregnancies all very easy and mildly stress free. Last January I fell pregnant only to miscarry at 7 weeks was totally devastated. When I discovered I was pregnant again 5 weeks ago I didn't allow myself to become excited worried it would happen again.

4 days ago the cramps began, so bad painkillers would not ease the pain, all I could do was get into bed and scrunch myself up into a ball to ease them slightly, then came the spotting with clots...I feared the worst, contacted the hospital assesment unit. They booked me in for today. I went totally convinced my baby was gone, the cramps are still going strong. Imagine my shock and joy to be told my baby is still there along with a strong heartbeat.

Sometimes spotting and cramping just 'happens' it can be a good outcome, I didn't believe it until yesterday now I do.

Gl to you all and have a wonderful pregnancy x

Yay teacup! Fab news but what a pity you had to encounter such an idiot doctor in A and E and have such stress. I agree with the others - feet up and make hubby do the running around for a bit.

PoppysMom · 30/05/2011 05:57

Oh, I am so relieved Teacup.
Also very glad for you MumOfFiveAngels! :)
