spend lots of time on all fours. do cat and cow yogic pose and hip swirls on hands and knees. swim lots of front crawl. sleep only on your left side. sit with knees lower than hips and lean forward as much as possible. maybe see a good natal osteopath and/or reflexologist (some claim they can turn babies)... hope your baby turns! x

Thanks Lilly. Currently lying across my birthing ball! Best pal is an osteopath but she is in London and I'm in Glasgow ! X

check out www.spinningbabies.com lots of ideas there for getting them to turn. I've had one op baby, currently 33 wks and this baby is laying in exactly the same position as his big brother hoping these exercises will help him turn!!

Bum in the air and on all fours!

You need to keep the head out of your pelvis (easier with a second than a first as they dont engage so early) to give plenty of room to turn.

As the others have said the heaviest part of the baby apart from the head is the spine so the more time you spend on all fours with your bum in the air will mean the heaviest part will move down ifswim. My 2nd baby was OP and fwiw not too difficult a labour took perhaps a little longer. He turned whilst in labour i spent it all leaning over the back of the bed, once he turned i went from 8cm to fully dilated in about 20 mins.

I've given birth to an op, and it wasn't great as you obviously found out! I didn't end up with emcs, but he was a long, painful forceps delivery.

When they said dd was op too I panicked a bit!! But my mw assured me that as she wasn't my first, everything would have stretched (Hmm) and my body would know what to do. In the end I did manage to persuade her to turn using the following things: cranio sacral therapy, only sleeping on my left, no lounging around on the sofa on my back, hanging over and sitting on my birthing ball and loads of time on my hands and knees. My skirting boards were lovely and clean Grin.

Good luck!
