Hi there - currently 12+6 and all clothes are starting to becoming uncomfortable, especially trousers! I live abroad and haven't been able to find any bump bands in the shops that a lot of mners are recommending and so I'm about to order some online (maybe Amazon for ease of delivery), together with some waist expanders. Which ones would you recommned?

Many thanks in advance - my bump is already grateful for you just reading this!

I have one from www.bumpband.co.uk and it's wonderful. I love it. My only concern is that with summer coming up I'm soon going to melt having extra layers on :)

Forgot to convert the link facepalm www.bumpband.co.uk

Thanks toria - I have emailed them and they have replied already saying they will deliver here to Dubai! Hadn't thought about the heat thing though - it's a good point as it's 43 degrees here today Shock - spend most of the time inside though obviously!

I got a pack of two bump bands from very.co.uk - think they were £12. I love them - still wearing them at 21 weeks as they are really comfortable, and may well keep them for after babies turn up as they will be really handy for if you eat to much at christmas :)

This has extended the life of work trousers and jeans by 10 weeks and counting:

www.amazon.co.uk/The-Gro-Company-USFABB-Belly/dp/B0010X4F02/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1305732210&sr=8-1

you get what you pay for! most of the ones i saw in mothercare etc were about £14.99!

i got these:

www.amazon.co.uk/Skirt-Trouser-Jeans-Button-EXTENDERS/dp/B002TLLZT8/ref=sr_1_cc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1305739683&sr=1-1-catcorr

very VERY basic and require a longer top to cover, or a belly band! I personally don';t see the point in spending more than I did, it wasn't long before I was in maternity clothes!

Thanks very much for the tips silver, onesuzymac and marie - very useful.

Wombat happy to send some to you if that's easier lovely. Might order some myself later.

wombatinwaiting · 19/05/2011 16:57

Aw - thanks harassed - that's really kind of you - it may well be easier so I'll keep you posted on what I decide to do! x

What do you think about the heat thing?

Well you must be wearing light trousers and tops anyway, so as long as you get some high cotton content ones I think you should be ok.

Have you tried the hair bobble trick?? Round button, over belly, through button hole, back over belly and round button again..... or something like that. I need to buy some decent bobbles first, don't want my cheapo Primark ones pinging apart Grin.

I got a pack of two bump bands from Next and they were ace - I'm still in my normal jeans at 32 weeks, so they've saved me a packet on maternity clothes. They're nice and wide and strong enough to hold up a pair of undone jeans on their own.
