Random questions about headaches and travel insurance

Evening all,

I have had a rotten headache all day, think it's because I am tired but even so, what do the rest of you do if you get a headache? I have tried that 4Head stick and it doesn't do much at all. And I am now bored of the headache.

Also, the DH, the bump and me are off on holiday sometime after my seventh month and the midwife has me freaked out about travel insurance. We are only going to be in France and I have an EHIC card and we have travel insurance on our credit card and I wondered if this was enough.

Help!

Yes thats plenty as long as you are fit to travel and are within airline limits in terms of weeks.
Take paracetamol

Check the terms and conditions of your travel insurance to make sure you don't need to let them know before you travel but it should be fine.

Headache wise I second mosschops, occassional paracetamol is fine. Don't suffer for the sake of it. I had a headache every day for about 2 weeks in my 2nd trimester and it was miserable.

Yes it should be fine re the travel insurance. ( I used to work in travel insurance). To be on the safe side as providers can have differing policy guidelines, I would give them a call to check. Whatever they say on the phone goes as 'all calls may be (i.e they are) recorded' ( less so for training purposes, more so to cover the insurers bum at claim stage if you've lied). Ps you will need a letter from your dr if you are going to be over 28 weeks when flying (includes homeward leg too). They will do this but will probably charge u about £15.

Oooh, thank you all.

Off to bed with a paracetamol for me tonight. The excitement of possibly not having a headache is almost getting to me!

not sure about travel insurance :) but have extensive experience of headaches and migraines sadly :( I would say occasional paracetamol but also watch what you're eating - try to have a small snack (some nuts, fruit, yoghurt etc) at least every three hours to keep your blood sugar level balanced, drink lots of water, are your sinuses blocked? That might cause headaches too.
Try to not spend too much time in front of computer screens and get a good amount of sleep.
I had an awful migraine last week triggered by lack of food all Monday and forgetting to drink enough water - did all the above as per MW advice and feeling much better since! ;)
