Hi everyone, had a good scan today so I have a few days when I will stop worrying that something's not right (baby paranoia!) and can focus on fun stuff like..prams :)

So..on my shortlist are the Emmaljunga Edge or Mondial (can hardly tell the difference between them) and am liking the Mutsy range (the more sturdy ones - 4Rider? I think?)

Anyone care to comment about experiences with either/both prams? Will def. check them out properly IRL but would love some input from actual users :)

Thanks in advance!! x

PS Just to mention: we don't own a car and don't intend to buy one, walking distance or short bus ride from everything we need so not bothered about too much lifting, pram fitting in car boot etc...really want a sturdy and safe pram without the "plasticky" feel you get from some models. Oh and my lovely in-laws are buying it as gift so I can go crazy price is not a huge issue :)

Oooh pram shopping! Envy can't comment one the ones you've mentioned but I just loved shopping for ours and trying them all out!

Have fun and enjoy - its nice to get a break from pregnancy paranoia :)

A mum at school had an Emmaljunga - don't know which one but it was pretty sturdy. It was a 'family' pram but looked like new. I really like it - would do facing both ways, big basket and lovely big wheels.

We looked at Emmaljunga prams, they were really nice and very good quality, but in the end we decided we'd go for the Mamas and Papas Ultima, although got it in a fabric they have discontinued now. (Polka)

I think thought hat we are also going to get a Baby Jogger City Mini once baby is a little older to use on public transport, as although we have a car and I prefer the idea of a 'proper' pram, we will be living in a city so use the buses to go in and out and I think something easy to fold will be better for that, whereas we also do an awful lot of walking, hence I wanted a pram too.

we were given a large mamas and papas pram with carrycot and all accessories via freecycle. Problem is being in a flat I realise i just wont be able to manage the stairs. Now got a the ruby one from argos as a back up. ~we dont drive either. I also realised that using the train to visit my parents is difficult as there is a ramp one side of the station but many stairs to get back again on other side. Think about your routes before choosing a pram.

Hi Super how are you? :) I like the Bugaboo in general but what I don't like is how low the carry cot is positioned - one thing I like a lot about Emmaljunga is the height of the pram.

Midori maybe I'm being naive but was hoping to buy one pram and just use that all the time until not needed and again, naively I am hoping to get my child used to walking as much as possible as early as they are able to :)

LilQueenie we have a lift and our flat is big enough to accommodate a large pram and I was sort of thinking of using the pram instead of a bassinet/moses basket - the Emmaljunga model has an easily detachable carrycot with proper bedding inside and also a rocing function so ideally baby can continue to sleep in it if falls asleep during a walk etc, we will hardly ever need to use a train and mostly walk everywhere so I need something sturdy and nice to push as well as suited for a winter baby (due date late October)

Thanks for all the input, wondering if any Mutsy users out there as I have had little info on those prams but like the look of them :)
