I wouldnt worry tbh... if we avoided everything that everyone told us to avoid we wouldnt eat or drink anything.

I wouldn't worry but I choose not to drink/eat artificial sweeteners such as aspartame. They're derivatives of petrol more or less! I'd rather trust sugar but that's me. They put aspartame in those Fruit Shoots that all kids seem mad about. I'm sure you'll be totally fine though. It's not on the 'list' that the nhs give you is it? So it'll be fine. Relax. ;)

i put splenda in my coffee so i'm doubly naughty! i'd rather have sweetener than sugar, which has its own toxic effects on the body.

I think its about moderation - I switched from sweetener to real sugar in my coffee but am still drinking diet coke. Virtually everything you buy has something 'artificial' in it so it depends how far you want to take these things...

I am drinking a lot of Slimline Tonic water - keeps the nausea at bay. About 350ml a day - half a big bottle. Since I have been hopsitalised twice this pg (and 4 times in previous pg) with hyperemisis and dehydration, then I consider that drinking anything is a good thing. For some reason don't like full sugar tonic water!
