Maternity clothes at Merry Hill?

My local town stocks barely any materntiy gear so I'm going to risk Merry Hell. Can anyone recommend specific shops I should try? I always end up wandering round lost and confused before retreating to the food court & reminding myself never to go back. Your wisdom may help me actually find and buy something!

I went hoping to get some stuff, but didn't have much luck. Some shops that use to stock their maternity ranges have stopped doing so (i.e. Topshop) and the rest of the shops if they did have maternity range it was literarly on one rack! It maybe better going to Birmingham as shops are much bigger so maybe more choice there? Happy shopping!

Their H&M have great maternity stuff, top floor towards the back. I went a few weeks back and go loads of leggings and some yoga type trousers, all over the bump and sooooo comfy. Im tall and they are a great length. Also there is a huge Primark so got lots of vest tops for slobbing around the house in and long tunic style tops to go over my leggings.
I agree with Bubalie though, Topshop have stopped stocking Mat stuff, the New Look doesnt have a Mat section and i went into Dorothy Perkins and they had one rack Confused

Thanks ladies... Maybe Brum then. Anywhere specific I should try there or just the big high street names?

H&M store in Birmingham got a good selection, I've got a couple of bits from there.. I also got a couple of tops from Debenhams which are not Maternity but you can grow into them. I think there is a lot of dresses around that are not maternity but can be worn as. I went to birmingham as i wanted to go to this maternity shop which was meant to be in House of Fraser, but they have also closed down. It's really hard I think as you really want to try things on but most of the stuff you have to get on the net!

DP has spoken. We're going to Merry Hell as he wants to go to American Golf while we're there. And, I quote, "this better not be one of those times when you wander round for ages and then don't buy anything. I'm only coming if you're actually shopping"

Grrrr... Of course I'm 'actually shopping', but how do I know if there'll be stuff I like?!

lol tell him if he took you to birmingham you are more likely to buy tbh. lol have to admit solihull is good for some things but not maternity clothes and coventry aint great either.

I think there is a mothercare world opposite American Golf?

jenga079 · 06/05/2011 20:24

Thanks again. Your advice paid off... Bras, a dress and mattress protector from mothercare world; vests, tops -and haribo to keep DP quiet- from primark; leggings from h&m; and pizza & chips craving satisfied in the food court. Success!
