Normally have regular 26 day cycle so AF was due about 21/4. Have had very faint bfp but have also had very light brown spotting for a week. I am very confused as to if this is a chemical pregnancy or ongoing pregnancy. Surely the bfp would be stronger by 4+5?? I have had a similar experience a few years ago with a chemical pregnancy but had a heaver bleed. I also had ds 14 months ago and I did have a small amount of light spotting around 5 weeks with him but a strong bfp. I'm trying not to hold to much hope about this but finding it so frustration to not know one way or the other. Had anyone experienced the same sort of thing or can offer any advice?? Thanks.

I did a few tests when I first found out and they were all really faint. I think it depends on the test you take, because I tried a different brand and got a nice strong line.

Have you tried the clearblue digital test? That will spell it out for you.

I took another test a couple of days ago (please don't ask why, as I have no idea :() and it was a very faint line. I am 9+3!

IME implantation bleeding can be like a very light, brown/pink period with some cramping; enough to need a liner but not a pad or tampon. At least it was when I had it, but that was rather earlier, at about 7 days post-ovulation; I think this is quite variable, and not unusual, but I'm a first-timer so there are undoubtedly more experienced voices to be heard on here. You rarely get a false +ve (at least according to other threads on mn). Congratulations
