Having been lucky enough to escape morning sickness and any other symptoms other than tiredness...

I have suddenly started feeling awful - really bad headache constantly like I am either recovering or about to get a migraine (or have a shocking hang over) - has anyone else had this? Any miracle cures? Really don't want to whinge but I have to go back to work tomorrow after the Easter holidays and could do with something that will fix me ready for a mad rush!

Thanks x

The only thing that worked for me when I had the constant headache was to drink even more water than I was. I thought I was drinking enough but MW just said to try more. I don't know if it was coincidence but when I upped my fluids the headache eased then went. Sorry it's not a miracle cure but just my experience of that horrible headache. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you very much for that - will def try more fluids x

i cut out foods and buy cutting out choc and cheese ( cheese esp.) by migraines are gone. but i think it might just be me tbh.

Same here - I spent the whole day in bed yesterday with what felt like the worst hangover headache ever, but when I forced myself to drink a load of water it went away. The MW did warn me that you become dehydrated much faster when you're pregnant and you don't get any of the early warning signs of dehydration, like feeling a bit thirsty, instead you'll go straight to a banging headache or feeling faint.

I had really bad headaches and migraines from 16 to 19 weeks. Upped the fluids, cut out coffee completely (replaced with one cup of tea per day) and ate little and often, including something sweet immediately before bed. I am 20 weeks now and haven't had a headache for over a week.

Yes, I also have found/am finding that I have to drink LOADS of fluids during pregnancy (and I normally drink a lot of water anyway) and that caffiene really does me no favours at all in terms of headaches etc. so give that a go.

Also a good idea to check to see whetehr there's any other foods that might be triggering them.

Hope you feel better soon!

Same here, nearly 19 weeks and having to drink lots of water otherwise have a banging head. Which doesn't help the toliet siuation!! ;) Have been feeling great but think the weather isn't helping as now full of a stinking cold n cant take anything to help it. Plus a tin of tomatos fell out of the cupboard onto my toe earlier...I actually think childbirth will be less painful!!!!
