Hey,

I'm suffering through first trimester misery so thought I'd start a light-hearted thread to cheer myself, and any of the rest of you who are suffering, up.

DH, when reading the Mumsnet pregnancy book said "It says here that the baby slithers out - that doesn't sound too bad." Confused

When reading 'What to expect when she's expecting' he said "It says that being anxious will make your sickness worse. Well that's easy - just stop worrying."

I also found him browsing 'geek' baby grows on the internet Smile

Does anyone else have any moments that have made you giggle so far?

The day we found our my DH suddenly got v overprotective of me and decided that he needed to hold my hand to help me walk from one room in the flat to the other...bless him...think it was his way of showing he cares but I really can't be doing with being smothered for the next 8 months so will see how it goes!! Smile

Lynzilove that made me laugh. Mine checked my bath water wasn't too hot before I got in. Sweet really I suppose but a bit odd.

This was MY dad's comment on the way to the 12 week scan - " so you have to lie down and go through the big scanner then?" He thought I was having an MRI !!!! bless!

When I started being able to feel the baby move alot, my DH got worried because he thought I'd "upset it or made it angry". If I nudge my bump to make it move if its sitting in an umcomfortable place he shouts at me as he says I am going to hurt it!

We watched an episode of one born every minute and I am still not sure he understands what bit of me will stretch to 10cm, I have a horrible feeling he thinks a chute will drop down..........

JenniL - am now overdue, DH told me the other day that I need one of those dresses now - double fucker!

Nicky7611 · 16/04/2011 11:19

JenniL - you OH made me chuckle.

My OH says he cant wait til I start to waddle. It used to make him laugh at work when women would walk past him waddling away, git lol.

If anyone asks him how I am, he keeps telling them I'm getting fat (Although I havent actually put on any weight). Am now 20 weeks and showing a neat little bump.

When we had our bfp (after trying for a while, tests etc) he said 'my balls work!' with a massive Grin on his face.

Although pudding got her own back the other day. Found out we are having a little girl, although OH very happy he wanted a little boy to play football and all that. I really hope she twists him round her little finger and pecks at him Smile
