Strange question! Blush

I am to scared to get a bikini wax too painful and never been my thing! i have a lady shaver and use this instead which is fine for me! Blush

Is this going to be enough for internal scan/labour etc?

help?

also know labour is going to be more painful than waxing but will be worth it for my baby :):o

Hello

I'm 38+2 and was considering a bikini wax last week. Also not usually my thing as I'm luckily quite "tidy" naturally and usually a bit of trim is all that is required, but I was worrying that I couldn't really see myself down there anymore without the help of a mirror and even then its not that easy and I was worried about being shaved for a CS and dealing with regrowth over the scar etc so decided to have a wax. When I rang the salon to book they told me that the latest advice (quite recent advice I gathered) is for women at my stage not to have a bikini wax because it can disturb the baby and make them turn or move out of position. I'd only just got mine to turn from breech to head down so decided not to bother and have just done the best I can at home with the mirror! So depending on what stage you're at I'd stick to your lady shave - although it might get harder as you get bigger to see what you're doing!

I really don't think it matters?

I will say however that a bikini wax is definately more painful when pregnant. Quite alot more, actually

Hi sloathy I am a regular waxer and had one on Monday...I am a couple of days ahead of you. In my mind the beauty salon are talking absolute rubbish...they just seem to have a habitual fear of pregnant ladies I think? mine nearly refused me reflexology until I pointed out that I know what it can do (hence why I was there!) and that i'd let them know when booking that I was pg and no-one uttered a word. They are probably being over-cautious cause they know how irrational sensitive we pg women can be at times!

As Fanilla says, it'll be a bit more painful than usual. But unless you've got Jeff Capes tugging and prodding you, I cannot imagine it'll make the baby move. I am 2/5 engaged BTW and bar a couple of nudges from baby, it couldn't care less.

Thank you for all the help. Think i will stick to the lady shaver :)

if i get to big i will struggle through but dont think waxing is for me :)

I'm not quite sure why any pubic gardening is necessary when pregnant! Ladies have been having babies long before the lady shaver. Surely a quick trim with scissors is fine? That's all I'd do the rest of the time and don't get why I'd need to do any extra now.
I've had an internal scan before and pubic hair certainly was not a problem.

Hello LittleMilla

I've been going to my salon for a long time for other treatments and I do trust that they were genuine in their reasons for the advice they gave me. I really don't think it was a case of them fobbing me off otherwise I wouldn't have repeated what they told me on here. But as in all these things - each to their own and everyone has to make their own decision.

Congrats and good luck!
