Support pillow - do you use one?

Been sleeping terribly for the past few nights - midwife says I have sciatica (sp?) and need to spend 20 mins per day on my hands and knees to try and shift baby forward (I'm 32+4)

She also said a support pillow might help me sleep, currently i put one pillow between my knees and one under my bump but that's lost it's effectiveness recently. Does anyone have a proper support pillow and are they worth the money (e.g. Dreamgeni etc) or would a normal v-shaped pillow work? I'm tempted to go with the v-shaped pillow as they're only around £10, rather than £40+, but wondering if this would be a waste of money.

TIA :)

I have a wedge and a support u shaped pillow, to be honest the wedge is better for me at the moment as the u shaped one has become flat and doesnt do much supporting. The wedge slips under my bump which is a lot better than trying to stuff a pillow under there. I still sleep with a normal pillow between my legs though and I use the u shaped one on top of my head pillow so that it elevates me to stop acid reflux at night.
Its not ideal but to be hoenst I didnt want to fork out more money for one of those genie ones as I only have 6 weeks or so left and not alot of money.
I also find cuddling another pillow or the u shaped one helps me support my bump, not sure how but it feels more supported.

Hi shinydiscoball I have a 5ft Big V pillow from Theraline. I bought it when I had sciatica in my last pregnancy and it really seemed to help the pain by taking pressure off my joints. I've got sciatica again at 16 weeks this time round and same story (I'm 22 weeks now). They are fab (hence the hefty price tag) but quite bulky if you want to use for breastfeeding afterwards. It is, however, fantastic for propping up a baby before they can sit up properly and I really feel I got my money's worth.

Thanks for your replies - think I'll leave the 5ft one for now as not too long to go in pregnancy now so don't think I'd get my moneys worth, but if DC2 ever happpens think I'll invest :) off to get a wedge one from mothercare for now.

Thanks again and sweet dreams :o

Dunelm stocks v-shaped pillows for as little as £3! Great for after the birth too. :)
