Bleeding at 19wks

I'm 19+1 and today had red blood when I wiped - and more on a pantliner since. Seen GP and he signed me off for week and said to call if any more bleeding - so waiting on another callback now (discovered pantliner blood when got home). Also had crampy pains at bottom of bump since last night....but thankfully we have a doppler and can hear poppyseed's hb and movement (and doc listened too).
20wk scan booked for Friday but guess they won't do that if get scanned earlier?

Has anyone experienced this?? Trying not to worry but it's so hard :(

Thanks. Back from day assessment unit and all seems ok. Doc did internal (urgh) but not a scan. Just gotta rest up for a week and fingers crossed it's just 'one of those things'. Hard not to read into every little twinge though - and there are a lot of those!
Scan on Friday so that'll be good to see poppyseed again :)

Can I just add to this in case you experience any bleeding later on, I had to go twice to hospital with a little bit of spotting/red blood around 22-26 weeks. I wasn't too worried, but both times the ob and mw (different each time and all lovely) said I absolutely must come in any time I had bleeding. Don't bother with your GP if there is a next time, just call the ward and go straight in, I would say. I wasn't anxious as had no pain, but the hospital staff were very insistent I should go straight in. (In my case it was cervical erosion, so nothing to worry about, but it's not worth the risk, really, as they were at pains to emphasies.)

Sorry, I've just realised that sounded a bit panicky. Didn't at all mean to worry you - it sounds as though all is fine for you, anyway. Just meant to say that for the sake of reassurance, you don't have to go via your GP and if you are at all concerned you should be able to just call a midwife or go in to hospital and be checked out quickly.
