Travel cot safe for every night?

we have a cot from dd1 and are expecting twins. They will share to start with but when they go into their own, could we use a travel cot? Would we need to modify it?

You'd need to get a proper mattress rather than the fold-away one as they're quite thin and hard. The size/depth will depend on which travel cot you have but the instructions should show which measurements are suitable.

You can get really cheap cots from IKEA if that's the issue. Ours was about £35 I think, plus a mattress (got the cheapest of that too Blush), DD is fine and has survived unscathed!

don't know about safe but bloody uncomfortable and awkward as they are so deep. Go for a cheap proper one.

you could probably get a cheap one on ebay, maybe less than a fiver if you are lucky if cost is an issue
