Ladies/Gents,

This is my first post, so please be gentle with me...

I'm 19 weeks pregnant and am starting to really fret about the bubs, in that he/she is healthy and growing normally.

I haven't done anything risky to make me feel like this, so i just wanted to know if this is normal behaviour or am i being a complete div?

Many thanks,

Beepazoid

You're being a twonk :)

Perfectly normal to stress though. You having a scan in the next couple of weeks?

Beepazoid · 08/04/2011 12:27

Thanks KittyChat...that's good to know. :)

And yeah, i've got my next scan on 20th April.

Perfectly normal twonk behaviour. If you can afford it you could have a private scan sooner...but if you have one in 2 weeks anyway then perhaps better to save money and drown twonkness in vast quantities of chockie.

JenniL1977 · 08/04/2011 12:32

Yep, you're being a twonk.
I'm 21 weeks, doing exactly the same, and I am also a twonk (except I use a slightly ruder word Grin)
I had my 20 week scan 4 days ago, everyhting was perfectly ok, and I'm still worrying!
Don't worry about the worrying, it's just part of the pg craziness, I think.

thefurryone · 08/04/2011 12:35

You're totally normal, I found this stage of pregnancy the hardest mentally, first trimester symptoms had pretty much totally disappeared, stomach growing but not quite bump like and I didn't feel any definite I know that's the baby movement until the day after my 20 week scan.

The best thing to do is try and relax (always easier said than done though Smile)

KittyChat · 08/04/2011 12:35

Best of luck for your scan but I'm sure it will be FINE.

However - the bad news is that apparently that worry never goes away, even when your babies hit adulthood, have good jobs, and are leading perfectly normal lives. Confused

17 weeks here and the same.

JumpingForJuly · 08/04/2011 12:54

Im 27 weeks and if anything have got worse because im now obssesed with her moving arghh don't think I'll relax until she's here!

greenzebra · 08/04/2011 13:06

My mum told me that it never stops not even after the baby is born, she still worries about me now and Im 30. So I guess we are all on the worry bus from now on.

Beepazoid · 08/04/2011 13:40

Ohh, thank you so much girls, i feel much better now. :) x

Greenzebra - I never thought of that. I thought that if I could just get to the 1st scan and see a heartbeat I would then relax for the rest of my pregnancy. Never thought that this worry could continue for years!!!

Makes me thing I am crazy to want to go through 9 months of watching what I eat, no drinking, no excessive exercise etc. etc. to then go through several years of no sleep and no freedom to go out without finding a babysitter and then to deal with being a child taxi service and a teenager that is always causing trouble!

And yet I chose to do this and I am so worried about something bad happening to the little person growing inside of me. Decided I am crazy!

greenzebra · 08/04/2011 14:44

We are all crazy but that is life, it will all be worth it, seeing our little ones playing in the park experiencing things for the first time, it will all be worth it.

As my mum says best job she ever had!
