Hi all,

Am 37+4 and went for scan yesterday, all is ok and baby is head down. Had EMCS with DS after induction, failure to progress, got stuck etc etc. Desperate for VBAC this time so want to start to get things moving next week, any ideas what actually does work? Booked in for induction 10 days after due date but really want to avoid this as it can cause the scar to rupture, need another CS etc!

Anything worked for you? Thanks lovely ladies Smile

I had acupuncture and went into labour within 24 hours. The same therapist treated a couple of girls I know with similar results. If you don't fancy the needles you could always try reflexology....

downbutnotout phew, thank you. I had the vision of someone holding me down to push pessaries up. I do not like to have any interventions unless absolutely necessary and induction is ok provided there is a medical reason, but I do not agree with just looking at the calendars and booking it as a routine approach.

I agree a lot of it is old wives tales, or is designed to upset your stomach and get uterus contracting as a reaction... With this in mind would you really want to risk an upset tummy going into labour??!!

Clarys sage and Jasmine will really help relax you and that in itself will be a good start.
Good luckp
