Which baby sling?

I foolishly gave away all my baby stuff (including my Bjorn baby sling - sob) only to find I was expecting no 3 in mid-Aug (surprised but happy). I need a sling for the school run (car and walk). Mummies with school runs and young children and new babies, what do you advise? I need something that's super-easy/quick to transfer baby from car seat to me? Have been looking at Close Parent slings...Are these easier/better/more comfy than to than the more traditional carriers?
Thanks

Close ones are good but bit tricky to tie. Have heard the Ergo is better, and can do front and back when they are bigger

On the advice of mothers in the breastfeeding section, I ordered a moby - just arrived 2 mins ago and so will report back.

Thank you for the replies. Really appreciated.
I'll look at the reviews Loopymumsy and thank you for the info using the Close slings (might see if I can find one out of the box to try); they look great for newborns.

I bought a 'babasling', not sure whether it's gonna be any good?? But only cost a tenner, from an NCT sale...

Anyone got one?

Babasling I found uncomfortable for anything other than a very short walk. All the weight is on one side. I sold it on ebay and bought a mai tai style sling instead, which I used for long walks until my son was 18 months. Its called a snuggly sling.

John Lewis stock Close Carriers - it's the only soft sling they seem to have, so you should be able to try one on there. I've bought/been given 3 slings in prep for my baby arriving soon. I'm most excited about the Close and the Connecta. Both look really easy to use - Connecta is likely to last a lot longer though as you can use it for carrying a toddler on your back too.

Thank you for all the information. From past experience I won't use the baby sling for very long and only for the school run (which usually involves me running after my 2DDs to keep them away from the road). Closer seems to either have rave or awful reviews but looks like it holds a newborn really snuggly - I worry about the baby's head rolling around when I have to move quickly (see above). Love John Lewis so am happy to have an excuse to shop there. Thanks Mrs Mogwai. A couple of my friends have the Babasling and love them but I'm not sure it would do my bad back a lot of good.
